2025 Topps Baseball Design Revealed

Seeing the parallels list and the new gold rainbow foil /50, it appears that Topps killed the unnumbered gold foils in Jumbo boxes. I usually prefer Jumbos; not for the guaranteed auto, but for the higher floor due to the five gold foils per.

Has anyone seen or heard anything different? This should tip the scale to hobby boxes for me outside of any major parallel odds differences.

It is very possible someone inside Topps is making the same assumption everyone else is based on what has been released so far. I doubt those guys know any real decision makers. Or maybe they do. We will find out soon enough.

Agreed. That was my point, to. I'm not doubting Jeff or trying to be a jerk. Just that "sources", even those who work for Topps, might not have the accurate information they claim to have. Unless you know a decision-maker at Topps, you know nothing.

However I'm sure if the odds are posted and the paper blacks aren't on it there will be plenty since everyone is quitting the hobby if they aren't.

We are just left to trust that this person actually has accurate information. I'm not quite willing to do that. Lots of employees get to be in the know for many stages of product development. Sometimes they think they know something that was later changed by those who can make decisions. Do Fanatics and/or Topps have any headquarters/offices that would make these big decisions in southern California?

I swear the SSP concerns last year also had communication from someone within the company.

I don't entirely get why Jeff is so worried about protecting the "source." If everyone has access to them, it shouldn't be a problem saying who it is or what they do with Topps.

Frankly, the person we spoke with is annoyed that I (and others) have publicly blasted this decision. They evidently did not see any of this coming -- as to what THAT says about their connectedness to collectors, I'll leave alone...

They don't want to be further inundated with people calling them "out of touch" and we don't want to burn any bridges. It'd be nice to keep a line of communication open to potentially influence any future decisions such as this.

I will add that the way Topps monitors their social media, especially on Instagram, you'd think that if this was wrong, someone would have come out by now and said, "you've got it all wrong, Topps Black Parallels will of course be in Series 1", but it's been complete silence.

All that said, given the magnitude of the news, not to mention the seeming ridiculousness of such a move by Topps, I would likely not believe someone spouting an unnamed source either. So, I don't begrudge anyone being skeptical or questioning.

As many have said, we'll just have to see it play out.
