I was in a full 20 box case break, random teams and hit the pirates. Hit 11 base Skenes and 2 silver Skenes. All that for $25 seems pretty good.

Holiday always gets caught up in FOMO around Christmas because FOMO is always biggest then. This year it is on steroids with a new Advent calendar with vague descriptions of the contents and Skenes-mania (along with a nice rookie class). The Advent Calendar is especially odd though in that I'm not sure there are any boxes where a collector can come out ahead of current prices by ripping and selling the singles. Many products have relatively few boxes like that, but this could actually be zero.

Found an oddity on card #H15 Jonathan Clase rc...front has him as an Mariner, on the back it lists him as an Blue Jay, with the said team logo.

I kicked the Holiday habit a few years ago. I did like that it functions as a bit of a true Update set for players who changed teams, with some rarities as a result, though not deliberately limited editions, so no one care$. Things like Daniel Murphy’s only Cubs card on a ‘flagship’ design, for examplez

So just wondering if there are any cards in 24 Holiday that are different than cards in 24 Uodate?

I am happy that I (sort of) got a “Bat Down” out of Holiday too - any re-use of S2 SP images this year?

They sure don't look like $100 boxes. Now if there was any kind of inkling of what stuff was in the buybacks or packs inserted, I could see myself possibly being swayed a little (I originally thought they were going to be Holiday buybacks for some reason), but 87-89 wax pack and the ultimate wildcard of who knows what in the buybacks makes it an easy at retail only kind of purchase IMO.

The advent flannel red parallel looks nice as does the evergreen one in the ornament tins, but I continue to agree, Megas with the guaranteed relic (or longshot auto) are still the way to go.

Morning! Does anyone know if Ultra Pro makes a sleeve and toploader for the Die Cut Ornaments that come out of the Mega Boxes? What size?

Top loaders I have not seen but in a pinch they fit neatly in a one-touch sleeve. More loosely in a graded card sleeve.

I bought one mega on Friday and let my daughter open it. In between a player worn M.Winn patch and some nice short prints she pulled the Gingerbread man insert. She thinks this is really cool and doesn't want to sell it so I am stuck collecting imaginary Christmas characters now also I guess. It looks like these are about 750 total printed and listed as SSPs.

The 2022 ones will fit in a 4x6 toploader. Quite a bit of room up top though.

Not even sure why I am buying them, but I missed out on getting a few Megas. At least they have a sale.

Yes but be aware that some of the cards have been coming out with bent corners from the tins. Square cards shipped in a round tins is not the best combo. Packing could've been better for these.

yes same cards, I think they may come with a unique parallel of some sort to the Tin.

Correct, there is an exclusive 'Holiday Tree' parallel in the tins. Advents have a exclusive 'Holiday Plaid' parallel.

Tins have plastic holders that keep the cards firmly stable, but only the bottom half...i've also seen breaks with damaged cards.

Wife got me a mega from Dicks for Christmas. I had fun with it. The short checklist and all the key rookies being in it makes for a good rip.

Walmart has them for $30 with free shipping (if you spend over $35 I believe) so I bought a couple more hoping to make 1 set and have some extra rookie cards.
