Default Found an auto of the greatest pitcher ever!

Found this in a box of family stuff while putting Christmas decorations away.

The story goes that my dad’s softball team won the WV state championship in 1983, and they were awarded the opportunity to play the King and His Court.

I was too young to remember any of this, and I didn’t even know that I had it. Still a cool item!

That’s a very cool item!! Where was your dad from in WV? Most of my dad’s side of the family was from a small town called Crab Orchard just SW of Beckley.

Guy on the right looks like Gunnery Sergeant Hartman from Full Metal Jacket.

There's a whole King of the Hill episode inspired by this.

It's called "You gotta believe (in moderation)."

Reminds me of playing in a softball tournament in San Diego as a teenager (mid-80's). I think it was the Bud Light Softball squad. They all looked like juiced-out hulkamaniacs. I still swear to this day that the further we played back (no fence) the farther they hit the ball. I have never seen balls hit as far as those guys did.
