Not so fast! Didn't you see that 6-3 nail biter last Thursday?

If the Packers don't score any points in the game, you could be in for a nail biter too!

Here's to hoping New England does the right thing and activates Joe Milton to the main roster and give him some snaps. Maye has been horrible time to give the next guy up a shot.

Barkley sitting out vs. Giants.

Resting instead of attempting to break the record against his former team, the Giants, who are 31st in the league against the run.

Said he's psyched for the playoffs - winning the NFC East was his first NFL "hat and shirt" moment, and he looks forward to more.

Very likeable athelete IMO. Good role model for kids coming up.

Putting the team first. A rarity.

It’s the right move.

Definitely the right move for Barkley. Championship is the most important thing for the team. Also getting the rushing record playing 2 more games than Dickerson is lame anyway. Major asterisk.

Ha! Funny you should mention it. Football doesn't do asterisks! There as a big discussion in one of the threads on here....

Football used to be 14 games. Jim Brown set the single season rush record in ... '63??

OJ then beat that record in '74?? Think he was the first guy to rush over 2,000 yards, though he had many more carries than Jim Brown.

Then in '84 or '85 Dickerson beat OJ's record, but by then the NFL had moved to 16 games. Only reason Dickerson holds it - he didn't have the most rushing yards ever through 14 games. It was weeks 15 and 16, which had been added, that took him to just over 2,100 yards.

So the rushing record will likely be broken at some point with the 17 game season. Some were debating the real test would be to take a minimum # of carries (say 250) then divide yards gains for the season by # of attempts.

The leader in that case would be Jim Brown. Pretty sure he averaged 6.5 yards per carry in his 1963 season.

I'll try to link the discussion later, but it was interesting. Lots of people saying football has never asterisked any records, even when they went from 14 to 16 games, so why would they when they went from 16 to 17. Obviously adding two games has a bigger impact on records than adding one.

In 1987, Bo Jackson had Avg. 6.8 yds/carry. Correct me if wrong, but I think he played baseball until November when he finally made the switch to football. Yeah, yeah, I know, not enough carries to officially qualify. But what is the best athlete on earth supposed to do - he just couldn't do both sports at the same time.

Here's a list of player incentives my buddy does every year for you prop bet degens:

Incentives
-Mike Evans
• 5 catches
• 85 yards
If he hits these - he unlocks a massive $3 million bonus…

-Geno Smith needs 186 pass yards to cash in a $2 million bonus.
Geno had 363 yards against LA in Week 9.
He also earns $2 million if Seattle wins & gets to 10 wins

-Courtland Sutton needs 82 receiving yards to earn 500k.
He’s hit this number in 4 games this season.
Now Sutton faces the Chiefs - who are resting ‘key starters’...

-Tony Pollard has a lot on the line in Week 18:
• 83 rushing yards for 250k
• 2 touchdowns to cash in another 250k

-JK Dobbins needs 58 rush yards to cash in a $150k bonus.
He’s hit this number in 5 games this season.
Dobbins will face the Raiders - who rank 28th in tackling.
He totaled 135 rush yards Week 1 against them…

Saquon Barkley needs 101 yards to set the rushing record.
He'll face the Giants - who allow the 2nd most rushing yards.
Saquon posted 176 yards against New York in Week 7.
But the question is – will Philly let him play in a meaningless game?...

-Malik Nabers needs 2 catches to break the rookie WR record.
And he’s 4 catches behind Brock Bowers for the overall rookie reception record.
Nabers is averaging 7.5 catches per game.
He'll face the Eagles - who could be resting players this week...

-Zach Ertz is playing for A LOT this weekend:
• 2 TDs for 250k
• 9 catches to cash in $250k
• 90 yards for another $250k
He faces the Cowboys – who allow the 3rd most receiving production this season…

Baker Mayfield needs to finish Top 10 in yards per attempt to earn $500k.
Baker currently ranks 7th entering Week 18.
He’ll face the Saints 25th ranked secondary this week.
Baker threw for 325 yards against New Orleans in Week 6…

-Deandre Hopkins needs just 1 TD to earn $500k.
He faces the Broncos - who allowed 3 passing TDs last week.

Lol great insight.

Step #1 in stopping Derrick Henry...hit him at the line of scrimmage and don't let him into the secondary...

Genius!
