SI trade idea. Jimmy Butler for Obi Toppin, Ben Mathurin, and Myles Turner + picks. Surprisingly, don't hate it. Moses Bryant and Johnny "Furfinator" Furphy could be a serviceable center duo and Shepard and Nesmith will be back soon. Jarace Walker and Quenton Jackson need more run as well.

And Butler and Siakam, with Nesmith and Nembhard greasing the wheel, and Haliburton setting the plate, would be a sight to behold.

I don't think it makes sense to pencil teams in the Conference Finals at this point. We are nowhere the trade deadline and some teams have been playing through injuries/new members.

All we can discard is fake contenders. I can't see Denver, Minny or Phoenix making the WCF for example.

I can't totally count out Denver yet because Joker is just that good and Murray can sometimes go nuclear in the playoffs. Phoenix looks much better this year when they are all healthy, but I'd agree that they aren't likely to make it to the WCF. And I'm totally with you on Minny. They have clearly regressed and need to figure out what to do with Randle because it's not working.

That starting lineup Denver rolled out for the first time @SacTown was what I hoped for when Russ first joined the Nuggets. Nothing against CB but despite the dummy they sold you Russ is easily a starter in this league and just tremendous at setting the table for his teammates especially in 1st Quarters. Nuggets have been mediocre to poor in 1st quarters this season. It's well documented, with Murray's slump but I've also noticed Joker can be quite sluggish, sloppy to start games. Move Jamal to SG, and let the young guys CB, Watson, Strawther and Tyson be the bench punch. CB will return to the starting lineup when he returns of course but that would be my play to get Russ starting again He is just so much better when he plays more minutes...

It was actually a great blueprint for the Nuggets in the 1st & 4th Quarters tonight. 2nd and 3rd? That's for another post. They murdered the Kings in the 1st with a balanced attack and Jamal, despite being horrendous in the 2 & 3 quarters showed up big time in the 4th (he has the clutch gene) with the killer 2 man game with Joker.

Sounds great to me.

The young guys will play hard and compete and the others will have to step up.

I haven't watched an All Star game in full since 99 so this sounds worth watching compared to the last 5 years at least

No team is going to win when they shoot 5-32 from 3.

They were on the wrong side of shooting luck last night AND the Bucks just cared more about the game.

OKC has nothing to prove by winning an IST championship. They’re looking at the playoffs

I know Bucks fans really need something to feel good about this season. You won the IST. Cool

The problem is that it doesn't count for anything and nobody cares.

Carry this good feeling through the rest of the season, you'll need it when you get bounced in the 1st round of the playoffs and watch the Thunder roll into the finals.
