I went back and looked at some of the sell sheets and I notice more of the non-full bleed. I think I must have missed it b/c most of the cards upfront on the sell sheet have a darker parallel applied that makes them hew closer to the look of the original release.

Yea it looks like the base on the sell sheet have the white border like this. Many parallels are full color going out to the edge.

The hype video looks to be using an original 92MM Wolverine card spiced up with CG effects. There is someone on instagram/reddit who has been going through each of the 92MM cards and adding motion to them- really an awesome project- I think this is the Wolverine from that.

I don't love the white border but I also don't love when parallels are just some minor foiling so I suppose the scales are balanced.

Yea, Im iffy on the white borders. It does differentiate from the original set.

Not really sure why they needed them. It’s not like the parallels have the just border colored…it looks like the entire card is a solid color. The base could have just been full-bleed.

I think that's the most likely explanation, that it's for the parallels.

Upper Deck plexi is like a regular acetate card that's 130 point, if that gives you an idea.

Kinda like Preserved in amber? Maybe a little thicker if you’re saying 130pt.

Wondering why Thing looks like he has multiple layers here…maybe it’s just a trick of the picture

I can’t imagine a whole set like this…this release will be nuts. Really looking forward to seeing a Mirage

Printing on the back and printing on the front with a couple millimeters of plastic in between can make the card look layered. We’ll see soon enough.

I need to see more breaks of this. One numbered is a real bummer.

Yea l gotta see some breaks. Should be happening very soon if the poster above got their shipping notice from the certain online retailer.

I don’t care if the Pink laser is /992 which is so high to even be numbered….but they look pretty rad.

Maybe it's just me but UD butchered The Thing card to make the plexi card. His entire lower jaw is gone making it look like his mouth is wide open or he's disfigured.

it's so weird. I saw the original card art earlier and it reminded me that his mouth doesn't look like that.

Might grab a blaster if I see one, otherwise I'll wait for singles on COMC.

Not really all that impressed with what I've seen so far.

It looks like he's gumming a dinner plate - 90-year old Ben Grimm at Thanksgiving dinner...

Seriously where’s some breaks of this. I need to see what kind of carnage we’re getting into.

I think many people are still waiting on theirs.

My order from the big online retailer just shipped today and expected delivery is tomorrow.

Is this all hobby boxes, Dyna, or did some blasters ship, too?

EDIT to say I see it on my LCS sell sheet that just hit my email so maybe I'll make a trip to North Riverside this week.

I might be wrong but I thought blasters don’t ship till a little later like the 18th. I’m pretty sure it’s all hobby at the moment

300 is basically what the big online retailer was offering them at from the beginning, it hasn’t changed. It is what I bought 3 at.

I now realize that price is slightly jacked up (sigh). No question LCS’s are offering better deals out there
