Thanks Dyna! I will keep doing that. I didn’t realize they have a calendar where you can schedule a call with a rep, so I also scheduled one for next Wednesday. Fingers crossed.

Anyone with recent grading experiences through COMC? Just wanted to know if value bulk is taking closer to 3 months or over 4 months now!

So approximately 11 weeks/53 business days

Is this worth bringing up to COMC. Notice the bottom corners in the before and after.....thought it had a good shot at an 8 , hailmary 9 but then it comes back with white corners and a 6. Frustrating

Thanks! Sounds like closer to 3 months than 4 months. Nice to hear.

I've never submitted. Is a current promotion hitting or something? I've spent more today and yesterday than all of Black Friday week.

Did you submit the card yourself or was it purchased on the site?

Ive learned to never trust any lower quality scans against a white background. They are good at hiding damage. The higher quality scan against the black background is much more reliable.

Appears that "new" listings are not being cross-listed to eBay as of late, and expired eBay listings are not being renewed. COMC must have stopped new "buy-it-now" listings as they are running the auction promo and to not get too backlogged with shipping.

Usually over 95% of my inventory is cross-listed to eBay, but only around 75% is cross-listed currently and that percent is dropping daily as current listings expire.

I usually sell a good bit to eBay buyers - so it is definitely slowing sales...

Yeah, I noticed this a few days ago. Cards listed to ebay keep dropping for me. Not good.

An understatement. I haven't had a card cross since 11/25, 12 days. My "target audience" is typically eBay buyers. I'd guess 60-70% of my sales are COMC eBay listings, while the other 30-40% are through the COMC site. I've sent a good portion of "high value" stuff back home as this has been going on for longer than 12 days(I noticed it about 1-1.5 months ago). Not sure why they'd prioritize auctions > cross listings BIN's but they must have a reason.

I never did get this…all these people buying up fixed price comc listings on ebay for way more than COMC site price…but I believe it. I get a similar thing. Not only is there extra fee baked in to the eBay, but also doesn’t even reflect sale %’s off. Boggles the mind.

I had a similar recent experience. Purchased on COMC, submitted for pregrade review via COMC, and it comes back from PSA with a white top right corner. Could have been at PSA, but still frustrating.

Is there a count somewhere in the dashboard that shows how many of your listed items are cross-posted to eBay? Just curious where you all are pulling these numbers from for larger inventory ports. Thanks!

I use "my code" to search. Not always obvious what your code is, but I took a quick looksee at your stuff. Your code would be he0. Copy/paste that into eBay search, filter to sports mem etc. and "most" of your stuff will come up. You'll also get some random listings where people are just copying listings etc. Looks like your stuff is cross listing at much higher rate than mine. Tons of listings from the 4th-5th. Odd! Maybe they just don't like some of us

Tons of people don't know COMC's website I'm guessing, because I don't get it either. They're paying 14%~ more and also not seeing any sales. There could be other reasons as well. Preference to use eBay only? To be honest I can't think of any reason to pay 14%~ more...so I lean heavily towards they don't know

Thanks so much for the info! I noticed that he0 code, but wasn't sure what to do with it beyond that. Thanks for all the help. As for the listing rate - not sure why mine would be higher, but if it helps the group -- I did just go through and re-price (lowered) nearly all items in my port right before the Black Friday sale. Not sure if that had an effect for them or not.

Unique cards are also cross-posted more often than ones with a bunch of duplicates on COMC. They can only list one of each individual card in the nonsports category, because eBay doesn't allow "variations listings" in nonsports. In sports, up to 10 or so can be live, but if you've got a 1990 Frank Thomas, you're fighting with 300 other copies of the card to be in the 10 in the dropdown menu.

And yes, changing the price on COMC can make it more likely to get cross-posted.

Also, I taught that trick on the primer thread here way back when. I use it to scout cards to flip that have large numbers of watchers on ebay at the current list price. If a seller puts one at over 50% off (like the Black Friday sale we just had), I search their code to see which make the best flip possibilities without having to scour their entire port.

COMC grading just isn't worth it...they aren't consistent enough

tough grade on that skubal but for topps black that isn't a bad grade imo

I sent them an email about this a few weeks ago after noticing that none of my cards were being listed on eBay. They responded with:

When items are first processed and uploaded onto our platform, there can sometimes be a delay in the hard copy of the item reaching its final storage location within our warehouse. During this time, which shouldn't last more than 1-2 weeks, items can be purchased but not selected for a Rushed fulfillment.

Since all purchases made from our eBay storefront are shipped via Rushed service, this means that these newly processed items cannot be cross-listed until they have reached our warehouse and can be pulled for fulfillment.

At this time, there is also an issue with our automated cross-listing process and our IT department is working diligentley to resolve. This should be resolved soon, we just don't have a timeframe to provide at this moment.

We sincerely apologize for this delay and any inconvenience. Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Ian

I usually search by code in the COMC ebay profile. It might give a slightly more accurate result.

I’ve had cards that were mine and flips that were previously cross-listed but over the past week or so have been pulled. During the week of BF sales I bought multiple cards that were cross-listed before and after I bought them. A few days later they weren't on ebay anymore.

PSA really has never been consistent. Different graders, different QA stages. There used to be a trick to see grades before they were finalized and multiple times during the QA stages they would knock down PSA 10 grades. So the cards would end up as Mint 9s.

It is concerning if somewhere along the process, cards are getting damaged. Either on the COMC end or after PSA receives the cards for grading. I understand thats always been a risk since some have even reported of cards being damaged during encapsulation.

to be fair that skubal bottom right corner already looked rough and the edges didn't look great - thats a fair 8 imo

as for the fuzz in the top right - it could just be the angle of the scan or the light or its possible it got damaged -

topps black are just so condition sensitive even holding it or touching the corner could do that

Thanks for the info.

Hopefully they get the cross-listing issue resolved soon. Not sure why it is taking them so long though...

The timing of the "issue" coincides with the start of the auction listing promo, so it makes more sense that they suspended the cross-listing while running the auction listing promo to not get overwhelmed with shipping. But, who knows whats going on with COMC sometimes.

Yup, they do that semi often. That's what I meant by "most" haha. I'd say a good 25% of my "code" that's listed through COMC are cards people bought from me to flip.
