For Sure! I don't think a lot of buyers are aware of this. Some buyers create multiple orders by seller instead of creating one large order with many sellers included in the order.

When a buyer creates multiple separate orders by seller, each seller has to pay the 49 cent Flat Fee that PayPal charges.

However, if a buyer creates a single, multi seller order, the single 49 cent flat fee that PayPal charges is shared between each of the sellers involved in the transaction.

Completely agree! We are in the process of rewriting the Sportlots shopping cart. Along with other additional features, one of the big new features is a "Save For Later" option that you will be able to move items in your shopping cart to. Also, when a seller goes on vacation, the items in your shopping cart from that seller will automatically move to the "Save For Later" section (instead of just being deleted like it does today). When the seller returns from vacation, the items will automatically be moved back into your shopping cart. We will also send you a notification when a seller returns from vacation.

Default seller zagski16 removed

Had a couple in with zagski16 - One was even marked shipped to my box. I reached out after a few weeks as it hadn't shown up in my box yet and got no reply. I figured it would show up eventually and got this email from Sportlots a couple weeks later.

This email is to notify you that seller: zagski16 has been delinquent shipping out orders
to our Sportlots customers.

According to Sportlots User Agreement terms, when this happens, the following occurs:
The sellers inventory is removed from Sportlots.
The seller has been blocked from future use of our website.
All of the sellers orders are marked as missing and the customers accounts are
credited accordingly.


I hope the seller is ok. Not sure if anyone here knew em or not.

I didn’t realize that I hadn’t listed the name of the seller who had not sent the cards I ordered. It was Zagski16. A little research shows he’s a major seller on Sportlots and he did request more time and still nothing received. I’ve since used the credit to order from another seller.

I've never thought about this. For small orders I will now always keep this in mind!

Ever since this feature came back i cannot use the normal search option on mobile phone without going through several different screens to get to the old (better) interface.

Yes, I see this now. If you put your phone in landscape, it should work for you, assuming you have a decent sized phone. In the meantime, we will take a look at this issue and get it corrected asap.

Are new sets ever going to be added? Topps Update, Donruss Football, others have been out weeks...these slow updates are killers since things sell best when they are fresh...the set request list keeps getting longer & longer

Gotta love the sales sometimes. Sold 1 card today for $0.35. PayPal fees of $0.34.

With sales down, carts clearing when you have to go on vacation mode, and the fees, not sure this is worth the hassle anymore and debating on selling off my inventory that will meet and take it off my hands. It was a nice stream of a few hundred dollars a month but those days are gone.

Both your issue with the PayPal fees and the vacation issue will be addressed when the new shopping cart screens are released. Development is about 75% complete, but don't have an exact release date established yet. More info will be available when we get closer to the release date of the new shopping cart.

Most of these should be addressed. Donruss Football inserts are the exception. Getting access to this information has been difficult. If anyone has access to this checklist information, please feel free to pass it on so we can add the checklists to our system.

I recently placed a $50 order with a Sportlots dealer, my 3rd so far. Two of those were large quantities of cards but one was just a single card sent PWE style for just $1.

I deeply appreciate the amount of work that goes into selling individual cards, on the part of the dealers & the site itself. May they all live long & prosper.

For me I plan to keep things simple by just requesting a single shipment at a time from a single dealer. I don’t want to mess with the box, or loot, or offers.

What I find that complicates this keep it simple concept is the bizarre usernames on the site, like I have gone back in time to communicating with UNIX logins or something. That’s not helped by often navigating the dealer names from a dropdown menu rather than being allowed to type one in. The more common english intelligible the dealer name is, the better.

And what I would like to find, but suspect doesn’t exist, is some way to discover at least a tiny bit of information about a dealer such as what they specialize in, such as 1950s cards, or Stadium Club cards, or new releases. Finding what seems to be such a specialist becomes impossible to remember later when the dealer name reads like a randomly generated high security password.

Welcome to sportlots. There are a lot of great sellers there, so hopefully you will be able to find a lot of what you need for your collection

I am in no way affiliated with sportlots (other than being a seller there), but let me try to address a few of the things you mentioned.

I agree that sellers having an "about me" page is a nice idea.

As for loot, there is nothing about it that is a negative for buyers. Sellers offer a percentage of what you spend, to you, for future use. Then, if you use that seller again, you just use the "loot" you accumulated from the last time you bought from that seller. Sportlots automatically keeps track of how much loot you have accumulated from each seller. Whether you use it or not is up to you.

As for sellers usernames, every person on the site, buyers and sellers alike, have 8 character usernames. The only thing that looks longer is the order number you receive when you buy from a seller. It may look "strange", but that order number is comprised of the seller's ID, plus the order date, plus the military time (CST) of the order. The military time thing isn’t confirmed, but it makes sense. So an order number from an order placed today might look like this - nam812672024120106254 which is nam81267 20241201 06254

I hope some of that helps your future sportlots experiences.

Thanks. “Loot” seems simple enough then. Given the crazy level of logistical challenges there are for keeping track of all the “sets” (which makes what the two big platforms accomplish an impressive data structure) it feels odd that dealer names are still limited to 8 characters.

Received four orders from Canada and went to the USPS website to find that international service for Canada has been suspended (including first class mail). Just a heads up for any sellers getting Canadian orders. I reached out to the buyer to make sure they are aware.

I'm hoping for some info regarding sending offers on Sportlots. I have had the option in the past, but can't seem to find it anymore. Also, I'm interested in a $30+ patch card, but the seller (kommking) doesn't have a scan. Is there a way for me to contact them?

If you click on the title of the card it'll take you to the next screen...on the bootom left you'll find the options to contact the seller (to request a pic/scan) and the make offer option
