Sound alike there’s a chance of Penix starting vs. Giants. Morris was non commital when asked about Cousins. Falcons need to win out to have a chance. Don’t think 9-8 will do it. Especially with Seahawks above them and the tie breaker head to head. Giants, Wash and the Panthers.

Even if they made the playoffs they don’t look like they can beat anyone.

They are at a point now where they can let Cousins drive the bus over the cliff, or they can let Penix jump in and see if he can take control of it. Their season is on the line and they are a game behind the Bucs- it's now or never

True, but they also essentially turn the page on Cousins as starter of the team. No way they can go back to him next year to start- plus he'd be a year older/slower

Even then, there is no way with this amount of games left they bounce between both QBs playing. This is the Penix show from here on out for better or for worse

I heard them talking on NFL Network something about play action- and Cousins has had tremendous success on play action in his career using it at a high rate, but the Falcons are doing it at an extremely low rate and defenses are picking up on that and attacking accordingly.

Well falcons did what they had to do. Unfortunately the Eagles choked on the last drive. Have to win out to get division and hope Bucs lose. Will be almost over if Bucs win vs Cowboys. Don’t think the falcons can beat the commanders next week though. We shall see

Bucs D is no bueno don’t be surprised if the Cowboys keep it close. A Baker turnover could be the difference

Bucs seem to be rolling right now though.

They’re not dead yet. From 9th place in NFC to the 4 seed and a home game. But next weekend will be tough on the road for Penix vs. Dan Quinn.

Even if they lose, there is NO guarantee that the Bucs beat the Panthers. The Panthers are playing their best football, although the Bucs have homefield advantage. But the Bucs barely eeked out a win against the Panthers a few weeks ago and even both games in 2023 were one score victories
