A seller I bought two items from that started with 100% feedback now has 61 negatives in the last month for not shipping items. To make matters even weirder, there is a smattering of positive feedback over the last month for items delivered! I've opened my cases and will have my money back in a few days.

The issue I have is when I click on "see all feedback", eBay thinks the most relevlant are positives from six months ago rather than the 61 negatives from this month!

No clue who you are talking about and I am not defending them, but it might not always be shady business going on when they go from perfection to the dumps. I was in the center of the Hurricane Helene disaster in NC. My family was blessed to have been protected much better than most, but no one expected what we got. Not only was it not expected, but I would have never guessed this area could ever get hit like it did this far inland and in the mountains. With that being said, I didn't turn my store off ahead of time because I didn't think anything about it. Our power went off that Friday morning at 5am. Not only did the power go out, but so did all internet, and cell phones. After 3 days I was able to cut our way out and get my truck out to start checking on family members. When we got to an area with just a blip of cellular my ebay app updated and said I had 120+ orders to ship. My heart sank and I thought about the possibility of losing my store because I couldn't even communicate. There wasn't enough signal to send any messages. Anyway, enough blabbing, but I was able to drive 3 hours out to print labels and back in to get needed orders, and back out the next day to find a post office that was open in a different state. I could have easily ended up with 60+ negatives like you mentioned above. Especially if I didn't make it through the storm completely unharmed or unable to get out. And my packages that was already in transit would have kept showing up with positive feedback. There are absolutely people who just go rouge and start ripping people off. But it might be a life issue or death. That kind of feedback makes me think something may have happened to them.

There was something definitely happening on the back end in the last week. My sales Saturday-Monday were far below my typical slow days. Sales have rebounded for me since Tuesday.

For the first time this week, I got charged for extra shipping from items dropped off at a USPS self serve kiosk. I wonder if there's a new process or policy in place. I guess I need to buy some batteries for my scale again. I've been guesstimating for the last year or so and never got dinged.

Did you factor in the holiday upcharge they brought back this year ?


Also yes slow had my first back to back no sale days since Feb 2020 and now a total of 5 NS days for the year. just got my buddies consignment stuff. will see haw this works out.

Don't end and relist now, eBay is having major issues now. I lost several hundred listings doing this and when contacted them they just said to wait.

I just ended and "sold similar" about 125 listings without issue.

Here is a new one for you guys. I listed an item and I chose no returns. Buyer gets the item, files a return, "Doesn't fit" and I decline it. A week later (today) I just got an email saying a case was opened up against me. A minute later I got another one that it was already decided and ebay was allowing the buyer to return the item and they would deduct shipping and the original cost from my available funds.

Ebay just making rules up as they go now?

I believe if the buyer claims the item was not as described, ebay will force/allow a return even if you stated no returns in your listing.

The return reason was remorse so ebay allowed me to deny it since I didn't accept returns on the listing. The buyer was able to contact ebay open a case 11 days later and have them force the return.

To my surprise after contacted ebay with a case of my own about it and they closed it with no refund to the buyer. Well done ebay, should have never been allowed to force a return that was denied in the first place but glad they did the right thing.

New one on me, maybe others have seen it. Packaging up an order and see this charge under my fees:

Road improvement and food delivery fee*

Its only a $.50 fee but still. State sales tax isn't enough? They need to tack on some more now? The state is Minnesota, so I'm not sure if its isolated to there, or if others are getting hit with it too. I'll keep an eye out now that I have seen it. Just figured I would share.

I've seen it. Looks like it's just Minnesota and only applies to orders over $100.

It's a tax specific to Minnesota, Land of 10,000 Lakes and Taxes, on delivery of stuff exceeding $100. Basically a $65M slightly hidden tax hike. Sad thing is their roads will still suck since they're at least two decades behind the times with infrastructure improvements.

Anybody having issues with accepting counteroffers?

Twice now in the last week, I send out an offer, receive a counter and accept it. Then it just disappears. Doesn't show up in my "awaiting payment" or anywhere.

Then I search for the item I just accepted a counter offer on and it shows that it's still available for sale in my inventory.

Interesting. I could have sworn they always went into my "awaiting payment" tab.

So do they receive a non-paying buyer strike if they don't pay? It doesn't even allow me to send an invoice or anything.

It has been this way for a few months now and it is so stupid. If I accept an offer from someone, they should pay for it immediately. It should show up as sold. If they want to run a system where someone else can swoop in and buy it, fine, but it should show as pending sale. The buyer made the offer, it should be binding and it is not.

Had a person who said card was damaged, refused to send pics and said they aren’t a scammer and don’t do that. So many blocked the past few days that have lied or refused to send pics of cards (or even the correct card).

eBay changed their rules about items not fitting for vehicles. Its a relatively recent change. I had some weird interaction about some Harley Davidson bike skull medallion. But similar situation, with no money being taken from me.
