I just stumbled upon this set at a Blowout competitor. No release date yet. Boxes are $109.95 and 12-box cases are $1,299.95.

This would be a cool product to have a Billie Eilish autograph but I doubt that happens.

As much as I was not a fan of the film (big Bond fan here, just not the direction the series is going), I agree good potential with autos and can’t go wrong with Craig.
Really I wish Bond would go back to the fun days of 007 in the 90s with Brosnan or back to Roger Moore days. It takes itself too seriously, is dark and ‘deep’ now. Id rather have fun escapism, the humor, the camp, the gadgets. I did like Casino Royale and QoS as entertaining films, if a little serious for Bond films. But everything since Skyfall…and especially including Skyfall…not a fan. Bland dark movies that kinda run together.

Dyna etch I am the opposite and I saw most of the Roger Moore ones but Moonraker killed it for me. The Craig series to me was much more realistic and Bond was somewhat ruthless ala Connery.

CR and QoS were my favs of the Craig era. Maybe it’s also because from Skyfall on, part of the ongoing shtick is Bond is old and washed up….which itself gets kinda old. It’s incredible also how long we’re waiting for a new Bond movie now…it’s like what happened to this series. Im nostalgic for the fun yet intense Brosnan movies, and things like Roger Moore going to the Pyramids at Giza and the nautical car in TSWLM- that movie stands out. What were the memorable locations in like Spectre? I’ll go sit in the corner now ![]()

No Time to Die is a good movie -- nothing special, but it was a respectful way for the Craig era to end. I agree, stylistically, the Craig era is kind of a cross between Jason Bourne and James Bond -- it's grittier. My favorite Bond film is Live and Let Die. It's a pretty unique film. Bond is totally out of place in New Orleans and the bayou. |

Isn't it kinda odd for it to be released 4 years after the movie hit theaters?

In terms of the franchise, assuming a Bond movie doesn’t come out in the next month which it won’t, it’ll be 4 years and counting since last Bond movie. This is up there, but not quite, the record for Bond movies.
Gaps that were bigger, as of now: License To Kill -> Goldeneye, 6 years Spectre -> No Time To Die, 6 years (this was surprising) Gaps of same size, as of now: Die Another Day -> Casino Royale, 4 years Quantum of Solace -> Skyfall, 4 years If I’m not mistaken, the new Bond actor hasn’t even been announced, so we could be a *long* way away from the next one, perhaps becoming the longest gap yet. Bond movies used to come out every other year for most of their run (for the most part). The Craig era we’re averaging about one every 4 years.

In typical Bond fashion, people take one thing from a movie to discredit a movie (going back to Bond driving the gondola through Venice and the double taking pigeon in Moonraker, or the Tarzan yell or clown costume in Octopussy). In the case of Brosnan, it’s Denise Richards as the nuclear scientist in TWINE (and so discredit what is a GREAT Bond movie with a top notch villain and interesting plot. The opening sequence in the bank alone is quintessential type Bond). In the case of DAD, it’s the invisible car or cheesy CGI at end. And I understand people think the gadgets went haywire…but I don’t need Bond to be uber-realistic and dark, I’d rather have it be fun escapism. Tomorrow Never Dies is actually kinda dark in some ways, but with enough light hearted Brosnan stuff too. Something about it, like all the Brosnan ones…just more rewatchable than a recent Bond movie.

I’m also a 90s homer in many ways (see sig), so perhaps I’m biased. It was a great time for Bond movies. Heck the N64 Goldeneye game itself was great. It’s the era of Bond I grew up with.
