There are some cool cards in the product but it's too expensive at $150. Like the finest set earlier, it'll have unlicensed teams.

The release seems weird but it isn't unusual because it does have images from the Euro.
Topps did something similar by releasing the baseball 2023 WBC set after the tournament. It included game-used relics.

Also, regular chrome has coincidently sold out on Topps before sapphire's release, but it is still available on Fanatics.

What am I missing here? People think Sapphire is a terrible value at $220 a box? Isn't it basically the same breakdown as UEFA Chrome Women's League? Women's hobby is $65 and Sapphire is $175. Men's hobby is $140. Isn't Sapphire probably worth $350 a box?

Fanatics is overpricing everything.

I'll be passing, BUT this sapphire product will end up exactly like the women's sapphire product. It'll be scarce with low numbered cards. It is extremely short printed by modern standards.

Highest will be Gold /50. Some quick math leads to about 500 cases.
Base 1/1 falls every 34 boxes, about 3-4 cases. (1:277 packs)

Once the breaker bros see how often you see a Orange/Black/Red Yamal, ronaldo, or an unlicensed Kane, the product will pump.
Could be a flipping opportunity..

Wow they do print a lot of soccer products, they should first work out some infrastructure to sell in EU, as in USA its not a popular sport and does not have the collector base (just the gamblers after the "hits"). All of it would sell really well in EU if they made it available everywhere (right now its just the topps match attax that is available and kids love it).

I dont understand how they are not capable of working it out, Fanatics will never 10x the hobby in USA, make product available where its popular!

Was it ever even available? There was a blank page when you clicked it took you back to the main page. As soon as I saw the actual page live it already said boxes and cases sold out.

The majority of their products land on their EU websites. For example, you can still get these sapphire boxes on the UK site and other EU ones.

I was able to get a case but it sold out super super fast. They are still available on the UK site though

Yeah at what a total cost of a 35% markup and not by the case? Did you have the same thing I did or could you purchase right away? The page was blank with no price. You could click view product but it took you to the main topps.com page. When you searched nothing showed up. As soon as I saw the link with box image and price coming up it said sold out on both.

Topps bungled this one as they usually do.

For one they completely screwed up the allocations between US/Europe leading it to sell out almost instantly on us and leaving it sitting on all Europe sites. The constant 25% price discrepancy between us and Europe doesn’t help. I get that it’s a euro event but demand for the product comes from the US.

Then on a product with a roughly 500 case print run, they made the “limit” 10 cases, which I know a guy who checked out 10 cases. Then as mentioned the landing page for the product was broken meaning you could only find it through a direct link or by searching the site for it.

I had the same thing if you clicked on the special page they created. But if you went to new releases it was there with no issues

By available I mean walking into a shop and buying some packs or a sealed box, back in 00s you could buy basketball UD and Topps products in almost every shopping mall in EU. Ordering from UK is not what you think for people in the EU, the shipping costs and delivery times are similar to ordering from USA and there is additional tax for goods that cost over 150 EUR. Might as well already order from USA as the products have better pricing. Same with the dacardworld Netherlands, the shipping costs €20 or above and takes 2 weeks for me and the tax that I save is already priced in and all together is more expensive than ordering from dacardworld USA.

Almost all topps soccer products this year has been trash. With the inflated price they are selling these products in EU and the secondary market being flooded from parallels in Asia there is no reason for buying any product at all.
