I can't think of any recent heralded rookie across any sport really that hasn't caused panic for their production in either rookie or sophomore season. The funny thing is most of these high picks are going to bad franchises, but people think they will become contenders or turn the team around/produce crazy stats in two years. Guess it's time to move on to Lane Hutson

What they mean is good for business. I think the hope was Bedard would "mature" hockey collecting on par with FB & BB for more "investor" interest.

Charging $20 for tracked shipping too so you basically have no recourse as he doesn't offer returns and he'll have proof it got delivered. While not super rare at all, he also might slide by on deceptive listing as 1:3 packs and 18 player checklist it wouldn't be the easiest to hit Bedard specifically. I never get scammers though they will go through all this effort to try and scam but don't take five mins to take a decent picture. I mean put it on a one touch on a card stand at least, be dedicated to the con, a pic in zero protection on your pants leg screams sketch before you even do any research. Who is gonna have a "Super Rare" card and handle it like that? I wouldn't buy off the person if it was SSP

Not completely Connor related but the poor mans SP Authentic, retail-only SP Hockey is now out. I believe there are only blasters/fat packs (usually) but cards look identical to SP Authentic (Not sure about photos) except the back just says "SP Hockey". It's not a bad product imo to do some affordable Bedard hunting if that's your thing as unlike most retail UD products there are rare autos and even jersey cards. Also have a good amount of parallels down to 1/1 and most times you get a blue parallel but base rookies are numbered out of /1299. Now it's known as the poor man's SP Authentic so cards aren't worth much but it is a stand-alone release so it's nice to know all the hits including autos etc are out there and not sitting in hobby boxes or on e-pack,everything is in the blasters (or fat packs)

Blackhawks aren't on local TV these days. Not good for fans wanting to see Bedard on a regular basis.

Oh it's bad, had to mention it's nothing like SP so people don't think hitting a Bedard=new house lol, but hobby box prices are still pretty high across the board despite high-numbered Bedards /599-up maybe lower losing a lot of steam. So I recommend it because unless youre extremely lucky or it's a YG you can hit a Bedard these days and still not have it be really valuable compared to hobby prices, maybe I wouldn't if you could still buy an OPC box and hit a rookie and sell for $80-up but now unless it's numbered it's $22 last sale. The other reason is just cause as I said other than maybe Skybox which if there are Bedard autos it's prob 1:100 to other subjects, all autos/jerseys etc are in these somewhere, it won't sell near an FWA but prob some of the highest potential retail Bedard cards and I'm sure the jerseys etc will sell pretty well ou the gate before dropping like his other cards. OPC Platinum would be my second choice but obv no Bedard jerseys, don't think 1/1's are in retail (could be wrong) and I haven't seen one Bedard auto come out of a blaster.

Not sure what is more telling....3 goals a quarter of the way through the season or the 5.5% shooting percentage which puts him at 452nd place on the 62nd most amount of shots (55).
