This year is a little odd for what I'm seeing. Normally some sellers raise their prices so they can give a bigger discount. Also there are a few sellers will lower their prices to sell, so they have more money to spend on Black Friday. This year I have not seen either up or down except maybe one or two. Of course it is on just cards that I'm willing to buy.

I'm holding off putting money in my COMC account just in case I find better buys somewhere else. Too bad none of the members that post a lot here have any cards that I need.

Min price on eBay for fixed price listing is 99 cents. That equates to a 39 cent price on COMC, when you figure in their 50 cents expedited shipping and like 10 cents of promotion cost.

If you list at 1 cent to 39 cents, they will cross post to eBay for 99 cents. However, if it sells, you will get 95% of your original asking price. This is why you see a lot of cards on the site priced at 37/38/39 cents.

It was slow for me until about 6 days ago and it's back to almost Feb/March levels last 6 days. Also, there is a sportsfan1938 user who seems to be buying up runs of modern mlb players the last few weeks. Not sure if just from me or everyone.
I LOVE BF - I usually can only do a base of 10% and then tweak my higher priced stuff 15-20% off or more depending. Much of my stuff is already the lowest priced.

About half of my sales over the last month are to Sportsfan1938 as well. I wish I upped my prices because he's buying multiples of the same card up to triple what I had them listed for

Interesting! Yeah, they buy current players - stars and some younger stars - If I have a card for .24 cents and they bought it and I go to look to see if I have any more copies and all the same cards are bought out to .75 -$1 - 1.25 WAY above any price history. Usually they buy out several different cards of the same player at the same time. And they don't seem to be relisting any cards or flipping. Not that I've investigated it too much. Just noticed a strange pattern that doesn't make any $ sense.

Question about grading through comc…probably a noob question.

I have a CGC 9.5 card on comc (this is a first generation slab where 9.5 = gem mint for CGC). My goal is to submit that to PSA for a crossover, hoping for a 10. You can do this through COMC grading? I just submit the graded card for grading and select PSA? Is there a way to specify through COMC a min required grade (= 10) that PSA won’t crack it if it’s below that?

Is this an uphill battle trying to CGC gem mint -> psa gem mint? The card does look flawless in the comc elite scan. I’m debating cross over (if you can even do that via comc) vs just sending it back home to crack it and then send it back to submit to psa.

First time submitting to COMC...just had a 775 card order get logged for processing & have a 2000 card order that will 'land' in about a day or so. On the first order it says anticipated March 19th...typically do they come in before their advertised processing times or is it usually spot on?

Typically, yes
I will usually start to see a portion ingested at about the half way point (give or take) and then steady up ingestion after that up until a big batch right near the due date

Now, I have three outstanding shipments due at the moment and none have had any movement yet on the standard cards. And the first standard order of 200 cards is due mid December. This is is highly unusual in recent experiences but applies to all three of my current shipments.

A submission package I sent to COMC says on tracking out for delivery today. And now it says “Delivery attempted- rescheduled to next business day”…..huh, on a Thursday? Has this happened to anyone?

I was just coming here to post the same since I got the same message. I've submitted a lot of items and that's the first I've ever gotten that on any day besides a Saturday. I'm wondering if that is a Post Office error. The Post Office in Redmond is obviously extremely tight with COMC given the volume of mail inbound and outbound so the postal service knows when COMC is open, etc. This is strange.

Agree, very strange.

Looking at the timing, and COMC being on west coast PST, I’m not sure when COMC opens up but I saw that on tracking pretty much right near 8am PST, which seems awfully early for USPS to even be attempting to deliver packages, I think COMC could have even been closed

Well since it’s happening to multiple of us, shouldn’t be too worried, must have been the whole delivery affected and let’s see what happens tomorrow.

Exactly, when COMC ran a submission promo last year I had accidentally included Signature Required on my package and it showed as never delivered. USPS in Redmond actually called me (and was very helpful) and said that given the substantial volume of packages delivered to COMC each day, they don't scan the packages individually but have a print out with the tracking numbers for each. Given the bad weather in the Seattle area, it's possible COMC receiving is closed today and USPS knew COMC was closed and just scanned all packages as delivery attempted - business closed. I think we'll be fine - please post when yours gets delivered and I'll do the same.

That’s what I was thinking too….just got a surprise though- it was just delivered. Really odd to have that scan this morning saying “rescheduled to next business day”, and then later same day delivered, but that just happened.

Makes me wonder if USPS had mis-scanned a whole group this morning or something. Hopefully yours will get delivered soon too.

Mine was just delivered too! I'm glad I spoke to Redmond's post office last year because they gave me really good insight into the process. It sounds like they have a really good system down with COMC which is nice to see. Thanks for posting that yours got delivered - good luck with your sales!
