Looks like the Spurs are about to be 5-6. I have to say, last year the Spurs didn't win their 5th game until December 28th, they were 5-25 by then.

Was looking at the stats and Wemby is taking 59% of his attempts from over 16 feet (including 46% from 3) compared to Duncan who 15% beyond 16 feet.

Sad, he's taller than everybody else and went KD path not Hakeem path. Imagine he actually train his postmoves, it would've been nasty

It’s just the beginning. But what about coaching staff!? They should tell him to post up more or create some plays for him.

Coach Gregg Popovich offered his thoughts on Wembanyama’s unique playstyle after the game. "He’s more of a perimeter player than he is a post player," Popovich said. "We want him to be able to do everything: isolate, shoot, do the whole deal. We just can’t do it all at once. It depends on the situation and what’s going on."

What's interesting about that is that KD in his career has taken 42.3% of his shots from 16+ feet (it was 46.6% his first two seasons).

He seems most comparable in shot selection right now to Nowitzki (53.3% of shots from 16+).

I think it's because he's so slight. He's not gonna bang in the post and the Spurs don't want him to either

Curious...what Wemby did you see prior that convinced you he was ready to muscle in the NBA post? He's 20 and gives you 20/10 without it. He can give you the occasional glimpses but he's not going to live down there. Where he can improve is to find more opportunities 10-15ft to flash and just shoot. But no one mistook him for Shaq.

We're lucky he's not one-legging his 3pt attempts

Not even kidding this is my favorite thing in the NBA this season.

I've seen both LaMelo and Trae do it so far and it's awesome. If you wanna shoot a 3pt floater off 1 leg coming off a screen? Hell yea

Wemby France (Jordan) jerseys heavily discounted on Fanatics ($109.99 => $19.99).

Currently shows OOS but size L just came back in stock a few mins ago.

Thanks Wemby!

Pro-Tip: List your Wembys tonight BIN or send a small offer on the Wembys you have sitting that may of gone down abit before people realize this won't be a regular occurence now. Prob get snatched up like WNBA Select blasters.

Y’all so sensitive lmao. It’s a consensus among sports fans Fanatics makes the absolute worst jersey in history lol but if you like em, good for you.

Anyway, 50 in 28 is just diabolical.

Exactly.

Great game from him, but everyone will light up the Wiz this season.

I'm more excited they're playing .500 ball.

Making the play in will be tough with Minny and Dallas already on the outer and will no doubt get back in there or above.
