Whoever is catering the Pels meals is putting some witch's brew in it that weakens bones and cartilage.

Did the Pels owner recently evict a voodoo woman from her swamp house or something?

Looks like Alvarado is hurting too. Have been impressed with Missi and Boston though.

Missi can't miss. The team may need to move to a "coached by Z" footing.

I'm just hoping that early in the season the pelicans are being extra cautious

Hamstring strain. Out indefinitely. He's made of glass.

Still love watching him when he plays. Feel for the guy as he looked like he tried to get in good shape. Problem with hammy is have it once easy to do again

Biggest bust since Oden, considering the hype around him?

I speculated they told him to go easy during the regular season last year so he could make it to the end. He turned up in the play-in game and blew out his hamstring.

This season, he didn't even make it a month.

I don't know who would trade for him with his salary (it's actually not as crazy as I thought) but his destiny might be 25 minutes a night unless he strengthens his hammies and learns how to stretch.

The Spurs would be interesting...

Not really. His style of play is simply not suited for his body type. He will always suffer from soft tissue injuries.

Which was his big red flag coming out of college. Somebody that big and explosive puts a lot pressure on muscles and ligaments. Looks like the fears are coming true.

What I always feared about a player I like to watch. He's too big and too explosive for his body to stand up to the rigors of the season. He's not in shape.

Benson owns the Saints and Pels. Both teams have been annihilated by injuries. Coincidence?

Embiid trajectory still in the cards? Or are we looking at a Grant Hill/Penny Hardaway career path from here on out.

Embeede's been all-nba multiple times with top 3 mvp considerations. I'd say Luther's more on the Brandon Roy career path at this point. Beast when healthy, but very little actual accolades to back anything.

New Orleans can waive him after the season and basically void the last three years of his contract.

They'd be wise at this point.

He's demonstrated zero ability to stay healthy for an entire season even with load management. They've given him ample opportunity.

Perhaps a change in scenery could do both he and the organization some good. I don't even know where he'd go at this point. Perhaps a team like Toronto might welcome him in a rebuild. But the injury concerns will always loom.

And it's not like he didn't come into this season in shape. Anyone with 2 functioning eyeballs could see he was much smaller than he was even last year. The issue is that he has the bone structure of a samoan fire dancer. He can go on a keto diet and still look 'big.' It's encoded in his dna sequencing.

Sucks, but sometimes it is what it was.

The Athletic reported the Rockets were going big game hunting and Zion was on their shortlist.

Spurs make the most sense.

If NO plans on waiving him, they need to clean house, trade everyone and truly bottom out. This is the year to tank.
