The achievements on these are whack....you get 10 random one of these for completing the base set (first 500 people to complete only) ...Wow thats a good reward as ever for the whales

Same for the retro, you get a whole /50 retro set for completing the retro insert set

Crazy

Looks like there's only 43 cases left.

Question to the ones that got a top loaded hit, do they still peak out of the side when you first open the pack?

I haven't gotten a top loaded hit since they changed the pack opening a little bit. I think it was back around 2023-24 Series 1 when you flipped a card, you no longer see the card behind it. Was just curious when opening packs if top loads are still noticeable the second after opening the pack, regardless of the card number in the pack.

nope, there's no more indicators on top loaded hits anymore unfortunately

FOMO kicked in for one last box before it sells out. Happy to end it on a high note! Two blue PMGs in the same box.

I really think in a very short time we will see collectors talk about the good ol' days of UD. We hear tons of complaints--reused art, damage from packs, big base sets, lackluster sketches from some products, and so on (full disclosure, I have complained about all of these and more! ).

Buy I can say from the few Topps Chrome and Sapphire Chrome cards I have for my pc character, they are thick for base cards (not Fleer Ultra-thick, but in-between) and I have seen no qc problems.

Will that extend to ALL Topps Marvel products? Time will tell.

Will sketches be "better" in general? Time will tell.

We'll see if the people bemoaning Fanatics' entry into Marvel holds up.

EDIT: To keep it relevant to the topic, many of the parallels from this set for my Firestar pc are damaged. Top left corner, little pieces of missing foil, and so on.

Just couldn't resist purchasing a few more packs before it sold out. Feeling relieved but my wallet is going to need some recovery time. Didn't pull anything crazy but I guess any flash is better than no flash:

Hadn't seen that Beast before, very cool card. Don't collect Beast by any means, but I will be looking to at that one.

Looks like the e-pack release is ALOT smaller than usual as a % of print run, approx 15% of hobby/epack were done thru epack. I guess this is what is expected for end of year/license releases

Are these the last Marvel PMGs Upper Deck could ever release?

99% yes. There is a Metal Rogues Gallery set set that is, so far unannounced (we've seen blank sketchcards for it). Given the time UD has left, I doubt we'll see it.

Thank you for the info gorb. When I checked the list I didn’t see anything announced that looked like it could, so I was curious.

So when is Premium dropping (and will that be it for new marvel on epack)?

Obviously none of us know, and we can only guess. I think Metal Avengers was a bit of a surprise.

But yes, we still have Premier. And I assume Beginnings V2S2 and 23-24 Annual at an absolute minimum. Allegiance: Infinity Trilogy seems to be a quiet set in physical form recently released. I guess throw that in. Oh yeah, and the Marvel Studios Series 1. That one would sell well on ePack.

The real question is for the announced sets that just aren't out yet. Fleer Ultra Matriarchs, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Marvel Studios Series 2, Allegiance: Secret Wars. Some of those don't release until December. With the license situation, and assumption that they can't sell on ePack after the new year (though no one has definitively stated why ePack isn't just considered a store), will they do a physical and ePack simultaneous release?

As I said, no one knows. We can only guess.

This set went fast! A lot of the big characters still have Gold PMGs in physical boxes or have been locked in e-pack.

About 28 sitting in the marketplace with Wolverine & Doctor Strange included.

I ultimately decided to handle everything through COMC and PSA for the Luke Cage Retro Purple PMG. Valuation seems to be really subjective because these don't sell too often. The "elite" scan shows some edge and corner wear, so perhaps grading will be a $75 mistake based on the number of 6's and 7's, but it helped to have another one recently added to auction so I didn't mess up valuation. Hoping for an 8…!

Nevertheless, it'll probably be back from grading in a few weeks and sent to auction unless someone out there PC's Luke Cage

How's everyone feeling about the PMG market once Fanatics enters the Marvel Cardomatic Universe? Will Green Hulkofractors make a splash?

<pure speculation>
I think there will be some people quietly buying PMGs at lower prices (there have been a LOT released over the past few years). The Topps Superfractor or whatever they are called will be the ones people clamor for. Eventually the Topps newness will wear off, and there will be a segment of the community longing for the UD cards and, by association, the PMGs.

They'll not reach covid-era prices again, though.
</pure speculation>

It's also likely that first-wave MCU characters will have a legacy following, but their cumulative popularity dims unless they get added to newer shows and movies. I'm sure someone is keeping track of the number of unique characters that have had repeat PMGs. But I think the idea that some of the specialized releases will be funnelled into small-run, series-focused releases.
