Default 2025 National

Announcement from today regarding the 2025 National and dealer expansion.

Quote:
In response to dealer and market demand, The National has listened to your concerns and is taking action to provide table space to first time dealers.
We are excited to announce the expansion of dealer tables for the 2025 Chicago National! We are committed to supporting first-time dealers who have submitted Letters of Intent and have been on the waiting list.
This expansion will be limited to 75 tables. Each space will include one 8-foot table and two dealer badges. Tables will be located on the upper level in Hall G.
Thank you for your continued support!

They're finally adapting since they feel threatened by FanaticsFest.

Threatened? Ha. Fanatics has cancelled their next 2 "shows/events" after FantaticsFest. No reason really given for cancelling Pittsburgh and I don't buy the Hurricane excuse one bit over a month later in FL. Just was a convenient out.

Looks like they are really changing as they have already listened and starting announcing guests now instead of around May.

Competition forces change. Most people can’t afford to go to both shows. Would behoove The National to throw all their cards on the table early and get people committed.

Is there any benefit to the VIP packages if you’re not an in-person auto collector?

Nope, unless you want a place to sit in the lounge (Chicago does have next to nowhere to sit on the show floor to eat or rest) and if you don't want the cards that are included in the package which no longer includes Topps giving any.

And another change is that VIP and Early entry now can go onto the show floor an hour early instead of a half hour. My guess is this has nothing to do with adding a better perk and everything to do with the fact they sell so many VIP, All Access VIP, and Early Entry passes that it is well backed up getting in until the time General Admission is allowed in.

Any hotel recommendations? I see there are quite a few that are sold out already.

I checked months ago and there was nothing available despite the National saying rooms would open up after Thanksgiving. What I can tell you is that all of those rooms were already allocated to dealers, corporate…. back in August, but they act like they would have rooms. Depending on if you want to stay across the street (not much) or a mile away or more (which there are options). Hope this helps.

This was the first year dealers had option to book hotel when they signed up for booths. But that was at the Hilton and maybe Marriott properties near by.

I booked multiple hotels in August when they opened up. Plenty of options at the time.

Waiting for the national blocks is never a good idea.

I booked mine already as well, but Doubletree and Embassy never offered options - Hilton had some which I booked already. I go with a couple of dealers and last year there were no real options, and 2 years ago in Chicago even if you tried to get rooms early Conference Housing would not release any of the good rooms until they were used by Corporate and dealers.

Talked with the National folks right after Cleveland, and hotels next to Rosemont center are for corporate and dealers early now. Unfortunately for regular attendees they will be left out going forward due demand by dealers/corporate/signers.. Thank you again for the info.

I noticed they cheapened the regular VIP pass even more and you no longer get the parking pass at that level.

Signers list is mehhh and it's safe to say Mariano Rivera is likely going to not be there given the recent child abuse allegations. Most of the Football guys most won't know unless you were a fan of that team ( Ham, Covert, Harper ).

Wasn't the first cancellation because Florida was leveled by a hurricane?

It's even worse for the hockey guys they throw in as VIP guests. I remember one year a hockey player was signing for me and asked how much I loved hockey. I basically told him that I was getting his autograph because it was part of my package and he looked at me like his dog just got killed.
