$400 isn't crazy, it's likely just a person who can afford to pre-order the second products open up or with a relationship to their LCS, I know LCS that have cheaper prices in-store than online even.

I've mentioned Zeeree before and like him but I mean don't most Youtubers buy their own product? Like all the Youtubers I watch I never get the impression they are sent product so that's not really a beacon to his integrity lol he constantly is sponsored by breakers (including GP who everyone was jus dissing no bedards=11 cases) and gets ad-revenue, tons of donations including high-end cards (If you watch Zeeree you gotta know this). I also GUARANTEE you he's gonna rip a case of SPA, despite such horrible ROI why? Because despite being "objective" whenever he does bad he seems to have a 100 pack rip or case ready to go that will likely produce something good and keep his fans wanting to try their luck, I don't think I've seen a product Zeeree expressly told people not to buy. I rock with Zeeree but we need to stop acting like these people are opening product and losing tons of money just so their fans can avoid the bad products.

EDIT: Zeeree also opened product long before it became cool again so I don't think he's taking advantage of the current climate or anything but it was also people who ripped a good amount of product/had youtube pages before the boom that benefitted the most so it's possible to not be a leech but also be the beneficiary of good timing

I'd say Zeeree also benefits from raising the profile of the hits he pulls to sell, but I can't imagine anyone buying from him knowing how haphazardly he tosses everything around.

Got my box for $250 at my LCS. Here is my FW Auto:

I have been pretty lucky with SPA having pulled Mcdavid and Pastrnak in the past. Not bad for 1 box!

Tremendous hit! Definitely beat the odds with that one.

OK, so at what price point does this start to make sense to pick up? Have access to a case at roughly $280/boxc(yes, even cheaper than zeeree!) and starting to get tempted despite the horror shows I've seen in breaks.

Absolutely brutal cases today, last one best couple were a Devon Levi and Cole Makar. No Cooley, Knies, Bedard, Fantilli FWA that I remember. Passively watching while I sort, so maybe I missed something better.

It doesn't. FWAs were overrated to begin with, retros water down the product, and most SOTT or other non-rookie autos are pretty garbage. They also took away the acetate YGs.

So IDK, 80 bucks.

That's what's amazing, I mean /999 isn't exactly SSP or anything. Even with the junk pageantry, evolve, SOTT autos, etc., they still felt they needed to water it down with multiple different retro years. How much of this stuff are they printing?

you can add up the total number of FWAs and then divide that by like 1.2, and that's pretty close to the number of boxes.

Horrible, is there any update on the matter?

$1500 sale had a really bad faded auto, but still I agree with you. You're assuming he has a career like Crosby and even if he does, there's no real upside to his prices.

He mentioned in his last video as well as several past ones that he will buy product to open on the channel for content. But I don't think that should surprise anyone since the point of his channel is to ... open product?

Zeeree has specifically called out certain years of Artifacts, Ice, Credentials, and Black Diamond as being horrible buys. That's far from an endorsement. Oh, and Score. He f%^&ing loves old Score packs!

Makes for a compelling case to collect OPC platinum rookie autos, especially the lower numbered parallels.

The guy put out a statement on Facebook

Alright, now it’s time to set things straight. I was supposed to have the SPA boxes, all the preorder boxes as planned. Two weeks before the SPA release, several people started to doubt me and formed groups to slander me and accuse me of theft, even before the release of SPA. My suppliers gradually dropped me because of all these stories. I never intended to steal from anyone, and that’s still the case now!

I respond to almost everyone involved; as for others who aren’t affected, I don’t waste my time with them. It’s easy for them to add more and stir things up! With your stories about a million dollars, you’re way off the mark. Saying it was premeditated too… Several people made claims with their banks regarding transfers, and I spoke with the bank to confirm that I indeed hadn’t received the ordered product. I’m in favor of refunding these Interac transfers, but I need access to the account because I no longer have access to the account in question. I have proof of this, showing where the rest of the money went to continue refunding others. 75k has already been refunded through PayPal, and 10k through EMT.

If I closed my Facebook, it’s because no matter what I said, I was getting accused. So I knew exactly what to expect with all the tags, etc. I haven’t emptied the store in weeks, as some people think, and I had decided that after SPA, I would stop selling boxes and focus on single cards, as Diamond isn’t there anymore.

Maybe it’s me but the first part makes zero sense, why would people accuse him of theft knowing very well product wasn’t available yet. Sounds like he is trying to play the victim because he screwed up. I’d like to know how much cash was entangled in the pre orders and how many customers are still waiting for their money.

Yeah it definitely seems like BS. You don't go off the grid after taking a bunch of money for no reason.

His story doesn't make sense.

His suppliers dropped him because of stories?

Why do the suppliers care? If he pays them, he gets product. If he doesn't, he won't.

To the first part of your question, I think he may have closed his shop and stopped answering people a little before the product release.

That shows premeditation, bad sign.

That Facebook response is so incredibly implausible in so many ways. The lies, the arrogance.....unbelievable. The guy basically validated any and all doubts about him. I hope he ends up in jail somehow, or, if not that, then subject to civil penalties, plus put into a situation where he can never pull this kind of crap again.
