2025 Upper Deck AEW Flagship

I feel dirty starting a thread for a set that may not come out until 2026, if it does at all, but its been announced so here we are!

The interesting bits - signed cards from Ospreay, Mone, and I assume Okada since he has a base card. Also, they are advertising hard signed cards for this set. Release date is "April 2025", still no guaranteed auto (which has been the case for all the flagship AEW releases).

Realistically, this set doesn't actually ship until next summer at the earliest, right? Black Diamond and Allure are both slated for late November (DA Card World has both listed for 11/27) and I could see the latter being pushed back into 2025 or axed completely. My hope is that they've taken the time to ensure the autographs have been completed and we get a product that ships at least close to the targeted release window with as few redemption as possible.

Unless I'm wrong add 2024 Skybox Metal Universe to the list of releases still waiting to come out as well.

I don't recall a 2024 Metal set being announced. They canceled the 2023 one and apparently it'll be coming back for 2025.

They only canceled the 2023 set. A 2024 one was never announced to my knowledge. You can't cancel something that wasn't announced.

I guess if a sports league loses a season to a lockout or something and the next year the lockout continues for the entire season it wasn't "cancelled" since it was never announced they came back lol

Had to dig DEEP to find this wow lol but yeah this dropped yesterday! Seems to be very hit or very miss...lots of reports of missing hits....meanwhile I got 3 autos in mine. Total feast or famine, and based on how far down it took me to find this thread, doesn't seem like there's a heck of a lot of interest in the set?

I watched a case break of this yesterday and there was 1 auto out of the 12 boxes. Total bloodbath.

I'm just amazed it released when they said it would, maybe they solved their late releases problem.

When you realize you’re already small buying base isn’t even buying all of a sudden you learn to release on time. Same as they though BD would be this popular set with the mems but it was still sticker autos and a dud so now they acc put some effort in for upcoming SP Game Used.

Seen several boxes where clear cuts are the main hit....embarrassing lol also in addition to my own, I've seen 3 boxes with multiple autos. Not great QA.

Per a post on reddit, Upper Deck confirmed to someone that a clear cut parallel is considered the box hit in some boxes. Thats...a choice.
