My personal favorite refractor rookie is the Heritage Chrome. The standard answer is probably the Topps Chrome though.

Keep this in mind: Ohtani is the only player in the entire sport who's Bowman Chrome rookie is worth more than his Topps Chrome. Will that continue to be true? Who the heck knows.

I second all of this.

Also worth mentioning, is that typically the Topps Chrome RC Auto is more desirable than the Bowman/Bowman Chrome RC Auto equivalent. Not so with Shohei but again maybe this will change in the future.
It is also worth mentioning that there are essentially two versions of the RC Auto in Bowman and in Heritage, but only one on card auto in Topps Chrome.

Thanks for sharing. Think the buyer paid about 25k a few years ago before his first MVP…was watching the auction.

I don’t consider the Topps Employee ones to be similar either as they are not a traditional product offering but if someone feels strongly, please interject.

I understand the BCA logic as well, just pointing out the argument that there’s essentially two of both BCA’s and Heritage Autos. I love both brands, and am still hunting for a nice Red Ink.

Good morning guys! What do you all make of this card? i know its from the factory set right? But is it even a refractor or just a SP? People list it on Ebay as a refractor. Was thinking of taking a flier on a PSA 10 (pop 165) copy.
