CGC just updated their turnaround times to 25 days for bulk and economy. They are definitely running behind. Surprised they kept their special with the small backlog they have.

Thank you - I saw where the current turnaround times are now 25 days so I’ll give it a few more days before I contact them.

I am not expecting anything back this month. JSA will be longer of course. It is mostly PC, so not that big of a deal.

Do they offer an authentic grade only by request ? If so how to go about that.

I had a couple that I wanted authenticated, and I just stuck a sticky note on each one that said authenticate only, no numeric grade. That worked for me.

Rec'd 8/26
Delivered today.

26 card order of mostly obscure pre-war and vintage issues. I think only one or two were in their database, so took extra time to research. Still not bad turnaround IMHO.

Pretty happy with the results overall. There is nothing earth-shattering in this submission. Getting a 6 on the 1936 Nestle Max Baer is probably the highlight as that's a really tough issue to get a decent grade on.

Anything put in the new holders or were the obscure cards had no specific holders and were just put in the crimped plastic sleeves?

Hopefully they'll be safe and our stuff to (Hey, just saying) as Hurricane Milton is headed towards them.

Pretty sure SGC isn't far from them as well.

Yeah, both are closed down the next two days. Cards are vaulted I would assume. Extra days on the turn around time is expected. Hopefully everybody stays safe. Florida get smashed again so soon is crazy.

New holders but the holders also had the plastic sleeve.

SGC is in Boca Raton, which didn't get hit directly by the hurricane but there was pretty violent weather all over the state. SGC closed for a couple days opening back up tomorrow...I'd guess CGC is in much worse shape.

Welp, figured out why my cards hadn’t been entered into the system. Got this back on Friday. Sent it off Registered mail back in the middle of September.

Ouch, I hope the cards are ok. I always ship USPS first, now ground advantage, without insurance. Knock on wood that nothing has happened yet...

Luckily all of the cards were okay. I took the box to the post office when it came back to me on Friday and they said there was no way that it should look like that.

I would ask for a refund on your shipping.

They actually did refund me - wasn't sure if they would but they did. Asked them if they wanted me to open it up in front of them to look for damage, and they said nah, if there was any damage I’d just have to file a claim.

CGC's main tracker is having issues. If you click on the, "If any of your recent card submissions are not listed here, click here" it should up for me as "Scheduled for Grading."

Had an order arrive there on October 2nd and it is still not in the system as received...
Meanwhile i sent a couple cards to SGC at the exact same time and those cards have been graded and have been shipped back.
Appears to be a major logjam with CGC grading, I have some cards I want to get into a slap at the economy price and do not mind waiting for the process but that long before they open the package is pretty extreme.

Did you check under the legacy submission tracker? Mine is scheduled for grading, but is not showing up under the regular submission tracker. From the forums is looks like this is common now. From an admin.

"Thank you for your patience in our reply! We recently made a change in our software used for submissions in house. This Legacy Tracker is used for any submissions received under our old system. Rest assured they will still be processed accordingly. Thanks for checking! "

I have heard complaints from people that it will stay there all the way through the grading process. Hopefully they can fix it soon.

Yeah, that's what mine is doing it looks like. I also have an order that still is in grading/encapsulation on the site, but it's already been returned to me completed, so they are having issues with the system.
