What kind of impact do you guys seen happening to prizm RC now that’s chrome has released l. No impact at all or are the autos going to take away from the money that would have otherwise been invested into silvers and color prizm rc?

Against my better judgment, I got DECA fomo after seeing how good they looked. Bought into a random player break on Blez. Right after I bought a few spots, I saw them pull the 1/1 black shimmer Wemby in a 1 box break and figured all the Wemby mojo is gone. My break didn’t go until the next day and odds were slim with 315 spots, but… Somehow I actually hit the Wemby spot. Then they hit a green shimmer /12, a silver insert Wemby, and several base wembys. Just for good measure I also hit the Ausar Thompson 1/1 black shimmer auto. The FOTL deca was crazy. I can’t seem to post reasonable size pictures, but it is in full case #7 if you are curious.

What do you guys think about buying a base wemby from prizm deca as opposed to the base from the regular set? The print run is way way lower on the deca, would it be a better bet long term?

I don't know about the base, but either the Wemby Deca silver is a terrible buy or Deca hobby is way underpriced. Prizm silver is less than half the cost of a box of Prizm hobby. Prizm Deca silver is selling for way more than the cost of a box of Deca. When was the last time an ungraded silver was worth more than the hobby box cost?

that's a terrible comparison. of course the price of a regular Silver Prizm is less than a hobby box, because there's also thousands of copies printed through retail

Well, like I asked, what is the last hobby product that a silver sold for more than the hobby box? Spectra last Wemby silver sold for $162. A box is around $600. Recon last silver holo did $60. Box is $255. Obsidian silver is $100-$180. Box is $350.

Looking up parallels aren't the Deca parallels outselling the Prizm hobby ones? At least the ones I was looking at. /199 to /199. /99 to /99. /49 to /60. /25 to /25 is tough to tell. Also better odds of pulling the Deca /199 or less versus Prizm hobby /199 or less. I understand there are more silvers in Prizm than Prizm Deca. Overall, retail cards that are now worth little when they were red hot people wanted them because they sold. At that time, they didn't care that there were a million of them.

Im obviously not the expert on Wembanyama rookie cards. I just thought it was interesting how high some of those Deca cards are right now. Compared to other products, they are either overpriced or the wax is underpriced.

I actually like the Deca action photo, not the regular Prizm photo of him bouncing a ball in the void in front of a black curtain like he's in a David Lynch movie.
