Here's a "Mayday" Malone baseball card by artist Cuyler Smith from his "Trading Cards" series. Smith's been at this for nearly 10 years now and the subjects number in the hundreds at this point. He takes sports-related characters from various movies and TV shows and imagines them on a trading card in the style of when the character would've played their sport, so in this case, it uses the design of 1974 Topps baseball.

These are artist signed items (actually considered mini-prints) from a numbered limited edition and are produced to look intentionally distressed, especially cards based on older sets. Woody Harrelson also appears on a couple of these, one as his character from "White Men Can't Jump" and the other as bowler Roy Munson from "Kingpin".

And a comic book cover from Daniel Jacob Horine (PopFly PopShop). I’m guessing there are a few of these waiting for a Danson signing to pop up…

Have there been any rumblings or rumors about who will be in it or release date?

Rittenhouse has apparently renamed this set Cheers Premiere Edition Trading Cards and has created a placeholder page for it on its website with literally no information. The Rittenhouse release schedule says TBA.

They'll be at the Philly Non-Sport Card Show in a few weeks, hopefully they have some updates and maybe card previews.

I reached out to Rittenhouse's customer service earlier this week. They responded that they expect a 2025 release as they're continuing to acquire autograph card signers.

Yeah, that is fantastic. This set is going to be a treasure for fans of the show.

Someone asked on the Rittenhouse Facebook post whether Woody would be a signer, and they gave an ambiguous response about the auto checklist not being finalized yet. I don't know why they wouldn't simply say "no" and avoid giving people false hope if he were flat-out not going to be involved, so it feels like it's possible he could wind up in here, which would be an awesome get.

I'm going to definitely be in on this one, sounds like they have some great signers lined up, loved the show growing up...would like to see a Danson auto inscription, when he talks to a kid that stole his 'black book', "You can't start out a 'babe hound', you need to start out as a 'babe pup'"...so many inscription possibilities with Norm and, of course, Cliff Clavin...

I've seen 3 different Ted Danson auto cards. One full bleed, one inscription full bleed and one auto relic.
There's a link on their facebook page from 19th August to a video featuring Steve Charendoff that shows them near the end.

And I wouldn't be surprised if there were cut signature cards of Kirstie Alley. She signed multiple Star Trek cards for them several years ago so they probably have some extras in the archives.

She didn't come in until Season 6.

My bad. I forgot this was only 1-4. Well for the next set then I'd consider it a possibility.

Not card related although I could be interested in the set as I'd like to believe most kids born in the late 70's and 80's in New England grew up on this show like I did....but anyone know what streaming app if any someone could binge watch the show?

Per Steve Charendoff:

Re signers for Cheers, it's still a work in progress, but I can tell you that Ted Danson, George Wendt, John Ratzenberger, Bebe Neuwith, Fred Dryer, Wade Boggs and many others are already on board. I expect to add some more names to this list that should be very exciting, but I can't say just yet who they are. Stay tuned! Re SNW, I can tell you that Rebecca Romijn has agreed to sign cards for us. As well as Carol Kane and Martin Quinn. Pretty good start to the list of new signers!

I'm wondering if this set is still only covering the first four seasons. Bebe Neuwirth was only in one episode during Season 4. It would make more sense to do Seasons 1-5 (Diane) and Season 6-11 (Rebecca), although a set focusing on the Rebecca years would make it all the more painful not to have Kirstie Alley signing.

Getting Shelley Long would be big. Imagine the Sam and Diane dual autos.

Kelsey Grammer has signed for Rittenhouse before (X-Men: The Last Stand) so I wouldn't be surprised to see him signing for Cheers.

If we're dreaming, I want a dual auto of Woody Harrelson and Jackie Swanson as Woody and Kelly, somehow working in Woody's "Kelly Kelly Kelly Kelly" song.

Does anyone have any estimate for how much this set will cost?

Honestly, no. Not until they officially start taking orders.

But I fully expect it to be the SRP around $169.99 and then real retail being around $140ish. I don't see this being a House of the Dragon, and commanding higher than SRP unless they massively short print it.
