Informative video, thank you!

Yeah, I've got 4 on card Dales, wanted to find them so I can start putting together more auto sets. Should be pretty easy when I've already got the Dale's and Gordon's. Have over half of the cards needed for that '98 set, just commons from here. Gonna do some Tracks and Wheels sets too. Need to start more sets since I have too many other dead in the water sets looking for one or two cards.

You have repeatedly shown you have no idea what you are talking about. I don't know why you keep repeatedly bringing up baseballcardpedia.com because my knowledge comes from decades of collecting these cards. Consequently, I haven't seen the LE or Emerald Moment of Larkin. If you have all these extras of these not so rare cards, prove it. Sell them to me for prices fitting the print runs you claim. You won't because even you know you're full of crap.

The Epix set is a little complicated as it was 3 colors with 5 different types (play, game, season, moment, and all-star moment), spread out among several different products. The orange all-star epix in your picture is the most common. The emerald moments are the most rare, with one caveat. To make matters worse, the Pinnacle bankruptcy happened in the middle of the release, so the cards from the unreleased product are very tough to find, regardless of what type of epix it is. For example, for Larkin, the Play version was in the unreleased product. So, even though those are supposed to be common, I've never come across one. Just ask if you have questions and anyone except MoreToppsPlease will help you out.

I was actually looking into this set a month ago and Baseballcardpedia specifically mentioned Limited Exposures being apparently backdoored.

“Like the base set, the Counterparts are the easiest to find, and Unlimited the toughest. According to Donruss, only 40 copies of each Star Factor Limited Exposure exist -- although they are not serial-numbered.
It is believed that a large number of Limited Exposures (especially Counterparts Limited Exposures) may have been "backdoored" after the 1998 Pinnacle Brands bankruptcy.”

Yep, Counterparts LEs are everywhere. Star Factors are not. Who knows if the number is 40 as believed, but if it were over 100 like MTP claims, we would see WAY more of them on the market. I've literally never seen a Larkin. Apparently, MTP relies on baseballcardpedia.com for info and wild speculation that's impossible to know, rather than just spending time in the market to get a feel for things.

PS: MTP, check out the pop reports on the Star Factor LEs. Most card have 1 to 3 total. No way there are over 100 of them.

Christ, why so complicated? No wonder I stopped collecting back then. I don't want to do algebra to know if I got a hit, I just want to see something and yell, "BOOM!" like the breakers.

Fun little mailday today.

I snagged this 1996 Bowman's Best Mirror Image Atomic Refractor at auction for less than grading fees. I wasn't looking for it, but couldn't pass it up at that price.

Then I also received an awesome gift from Mr. PuddleMonkey! Thanks so much, man. One step closer to completing my Epix run.

I can't decide which picture I like better. What do you guys think?

1997 Pinnacle All-Star Epix Emerald

Hang on, when did Larkin ever play for the Rockies?

The Mirror Image set was a 10 card set. One card for each fielding position, and 2 cards for pitchers. The concept behind the set is that the front of the card has an established player for that position from the National League along with a young player from the National League. The back of the card has the same pairing, but for the American League. So this is the shortstop card from the 1996 set. The front of the card features Barry Larkin, with Neifi Perez in the bottom right corner (the Rockies player you referenced). The back of the card features Cal Ripken, Jr., with Mark Belhorn in the corner.

To make it even more confusing, in 1997, the Mirror Image cards also had an "inverted" variation where the two players on each side are switched, with the younger player being the large, featured player, and the established star being tucked away in the corner.

I see, without my glasses he kinda looked like Barry.

Default Show Off Your Rare 90's Inserts Thread

These are hard to come by. Doing a google search today on them, I came across a card shop that had one in their online inventory.

When I saw that the shop was 15 mins away LOL I couldn’t get there fast enough!

I didn’t realize that the store sold cards as the store front is always advertising jerseys for sale (not game used jerseys just plain ole fans jerseys).

Anyway they have a ton of 90’s inserts as the owner told me an old man walked in and unloaded all his completed sets.

Everything from sky box linchpins, platinum medallions, to run of the mill commons.

Very reasonably priced too!

Great day was had!

https://otsportszone.com

Is the card store site but he sells cheaper than listed if you pay zelle or cash.

Not everything is listed though he had tons of stuff.

For example I see no Larkins in the online store but saw some in shop.

I’ll go down this weekend and snag some pics. If anyone has player requests PM me.

I’m not trying to make $ so cards will be whatever we can get them for, just cover shipping!
