Spitballing Cards is absolutely my favorite and the best IMO. It has the guys from blabbin about slabbin, Scotty B (who has his own great videos as well), T pott from SCI (incredible unbiased insight despite how myself and some others feel about Geoff Wilson), and Philmington. This is the best podcast I’ve found quite honestly by far and as mentioned most if not all have personal/other channels that are great as well. Neo cards and comics isn’t bad either but I check daily for spitballin videos because it’s that phenomenal, IMO of course.

These guys don't post too often, but they have great cards and stories.

One of them is our own RiceBondsMT2Yng

I like spitballin' cards, but they're also a little too numbers / money driven for me.

I'm not saying that stuff doesn't matter. It obviously does. But it's not everything.

They were talking about Bryce and Mookie and talking about how the one with the better stats should be worth more and having a hard time wrapping their head around the one who's more liked being worth more.

Collecting and fandom is about more than analyzing spreadsheets. Sometimes you like a player because he plays hard or has a cool vibe or whatever. Things that don't show up in the algorithm. And those guys just can't seem to wrap their brains around approaching sports through any lens other than a computer monitor.

I am a big fan of Sports Card Nonsense. They are a podcast, and don't do as much on Youtube, but they are pretty informative and entertaining and have 1 or 2 episodes a week.

If you want straight entertainment you have to give Sports Card Radio a listen. They have some crazy points of view, but it is entertaining.

Totally agree. Hard to trust anyone who's sponsored. Or in the case of Sports Cards Nonsense, owned by The Ringer aka Bill Simmons who is a mouthpiece for Mikey the Rube.

I thought Bill Simmons had credibility until I heard the first lil Mikey interview. It was at that moment I realized Billy was re*arded. Bless his soul

This is what's just really hard to find on YouTube, and in the hobby (forums, social media, content) in general. It's really rare to find places to just share and talk about cards or, in the context of YouTube, watch or listen to people do so. Not the present or future value of the cards, but the cards themselves, their designs, what's fun about collecting them aside from value, etc.

On YouTube I've generally found the vintage community enjoyable to watch, aside from Mangini whose videos I don't really like.

Used to listen to these guys but they have gone way down hill. Give them a chance every once in a while again but it’s the same thing over and over and over. Now it’s even worse as they are just pro Rubin and promoting their breaking.

Thanks for the info on this thread. Been looking for podcats/youtube channels.

Yep Sports Cards Nonsense is the absolute worst. Super biased and if you don't proclaim the Hobby is the best it's ever been, you're a hater and Mike Gio throws a hissy fit. Can't listen to them anymore

John Mangini is one of the best!

I’ve watched Gamble Gamble for laughs.

Also Jesse's lack of knowledge was a funny bit when they started but its been 2+ years. You'd think he would at least know a few players that arent LeBron, Wemby, Ohtani, Judge, Brady, Mahomes, and Stroud

I've been meaning to look up some of their individual content. Scotty B gets into his PC stuff on his videos, and one of the other guys has made comments that makes me interested in seeing what he collects. When all 4 or 5 of them get together, I can kinda see why they focus on what probably has broad appeal within the hobby.

They just really turn me off in general..they were bad enough before they got in bed with Fanatics but it seems to be even more insufferable. Mike is just a salesman trying to get his naive fanbase to buy in the breaks they do. His sarcastic mean guy schtick is beyond tired too
