The funny thing is, that the inevitable glut of stock of cards for sale on COMC will result in some really good opportunities to pick up PC cards on the cheap in the coming months |

Anyone think UD will try to get some sort of carveout so they can keep selling Marvel and Disney products on e-Pack? Huge numbers of cards have been printed and are presumably ready to hit e-Pack. Or maybe not, given how much time it takes for COMC to do the scanning and database management. If December 31 is the hard deadline, I foresee the e-Pack site breaking down as everyone tries to scoop up heavily discounted cases.
Unrelated thought: What does UD losing the license mean for a potential Deadpool & Wolverine set? UD has been slow releasing sets tied to movies. Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania came out in February 2023 and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 came out in April 2023. Both UD sets are scheduled for this October. So presumably if UD was working on a Deadpool & Wolverine set, we wouldn't have seen it until Fall 2025. It would stink of somehow Deadpool & Wolverine gets lost in the transition from UD to Topps. |

Fleer Ultra Wolverine (hits today) Hawkeye Loki She Hulk Thor: Love and Thunder Marvel Beginnings 2.2 Marvel Metal Universe: Avengers and the biggies Marvel Premier and Marvel Masterpieces By my count that's 9 sets in 16 weeks. There's also Unbound to deal with. Either a rushed release or leave set 3 unfinished? Who knows? My theory is that MP and MM both hit in December. UD KNOWS they will sell out quickly, so give everything else a chance to grind it out. I also wonder if they could give a big seller like DACW a "what's left" lot at the end, to get cards for their Hit Parade products. This could also happen to keep from Publicly deep discounting and having a few big buyers privately. Ed

I think a few of your “to be released” list does end up never hitting ePack and the third party option you mention is a likely alternative.
They also have at least one more Marvel Annual Pack Wars to drop and they just released Platinum Pack Wars this week. Unbound weekly is an interesting scenario and they might need to either double up characters some weeks or just end the achievements early and allow those participating to cash in full year achievements with fewer cards than initially planned. |

In addition to the Marvel products you mention that still haven’t hit ePack, there are currently 24 Marvel products already in the ePack shop (including 2 Pack Wars and Unbound Weekly). Even if Upper Deck doesn’t release another Marvel product on ePack after Wolverine today, that’s still a ton of inventory they will need to seek through. That’s going to be tough to do without steeper discounts. It all boils down to whether or not Upper Deck can continue selling existing Marvel stock in shop after Fanatics new Marvel license becomes active.
