It wasn't Tony that wanted real glass, it was Jack Perry. I wouldn't be surprised if it was Jack's call on the Briscoe chair shot as well.

I'm not sure that it's Tony making all of those decisions. Swerve and Hangman are both big enough stars that they aren't doing things they aren't 100% on board with. Bryan Danielson is active in the backstage happenings with AEW, including being on their disciplinary committee and involved with creative. I don't think Tony is forcing him to do a plastic bag over the head spot. I do think it's a bit unnecessary, but I don't think any of them are being pressured into it.

So why does the wrestling community love the Original ECW so much and declare they changed the landscape of wrestling and ushered in the Attitude era in WWE ?

Sadly I think its more the talent wanting to do those things and Tony just stupidly agree to go along with it because he still doesn't seem to understand what's safe and whats not.

As far as Drew/Punk go, I think they'll have a fine HIAC match. They don't need plastic bags or syringes to get ppl into the match.

Also, Im happy RAW will be down to 2 hrs. The 3 hrs sometimes is filled with a lot of recaps or filler.

Ive always been in the minority, because I thought ECW brought the worst of things into wrestling. And brought garbage wrestling into the forefront.

She was okay. She wrestled at about 10% of the intensity she did in Stardom & Marigold. Giulia is a very good wrestler, but not as great as everyone makes her out to be. I’m not even sure if I would put her in the top 20 joshi wrestlers based on her in-ring abilities.

She has the look and that goes a long way.

Yes she does! She can also go in the ring too. Like I said, Giulia is a very good wrestler, but not top 20 in Japan. It just shows how ridiculously deep the talent pool is amongst all of the joshi promotions (STARDOM, TJPW, Marigold, SEAdLINNNG, Sendai Girls, Marvelous, etc.) But in the US, I don’t think I can think of anyone besides Iyo who I could confidently say is better than Giulia.

Because 1997 and 2024 are totally different eras.

Are they though ?

Ever since they announced Raw was going to Netflix all people have been saying is how they can't wait for more course language and edgier content aka violence and sex. The wrestlers like HHH and Roman are the ones saying wait a minute we don't need to go that route. HHH has long been an opponent of blood on a regular basis and Reigns recently said in an interview he hopes they remain a PG product. The fans are the ones hoping and demanding for the edgier Attitude Era stuff.

Any fan expecting a ton of cursing or blood is going to be sadly disappointed. WWE is still going to want the entire family coming out to see the product. They aren't looking to run off the younger fans and family.

Cody/Solo cage match for the world Title will kick off SD on USA tomorrow.

Typically when they have the main event match starting the show you can guess something bigger will close out the show. It's also possible we never get the match and the bloodline attacks Cody before he gets to the ring then destroys him inside the cage while one of them guards the door to make sure nobody gets in.

I couldn't stand ECW then or now but I'm confused on the last part, everyone I've ever known says the Attitude Era was a response to WCW kicking their butt with the nWo. I've never heard it was in response to a niche company barely anyone watched. Only thing ECW brought to the WWF at the time was hardcore title to bring along a measure of their violence though it was more toned down still but that was to try and please that crowd. Otherwise the change in characters was a response to WCW going more realism so WWF followed.

Yesterday, Raquel Rodriguez came into the restaurant my daughter works at. She was gracious enough to take a picture with her. My daughter said she was very nice and when others started find out who she was, she was nice enough to take pics with all of them. I saw the picture and her skin looks cleared up. Maybe seeing her shortly back on WWE tv.

They really need to get Cody away from all the Bloodline stuff and build up other things/ppl for him.

Looks like they just did. As he told Aldis he's not signing it.

Personally, I hope it's not Jimmy's return.

Edit: damn it.

Would like to see Andrade win the US title over the Walking Catchphrase but we know it won't happen.

Cody not wanting to help Roman makes perfect sense. I hate that they then went and made the tag match anyway.

"How will they coexist?". A wrestling trope for all time.

I think the match will be pretty good, and the story makes sense, but they gotta get Cody out of the bloodline stuff (which I think happens after this PPV.

The biggest problem still for Cody is lack of quality main eventers for him to feud with. (because they're all on RAW)
