Got absolutely wrecked on my TPG order. 3 gems, 2 8’s, all the rest 9’s. All fresh packed new Japan/stardom cards. All perfect centering. Wouldn’t have sent them otherwise.

Just curious how long you had the green checkmark for on Assembly? Posts a couple of pages back made it seem like I could be stuck there for 2-8 weeks - mine updated to green checkmark mid-week last week so now I'm hoping Grades are ready this week.

Estimated completion date (Dual Service delivered in mid June) is showing September 20th.

PSA can stick the grades where the sun don't shine. 15% gem rate my behind + 4 8's (More 8's than 10's! BRUTAL!!!) on pack fresh cards with perfect centering. Got the grader from hell. I will never submit multiple cards from the same set again. Three times I've done it and three times I've been taken out on a stretcher.

Bowman Draft Stained Glass must hold a lot of unseen blemishes. Those are the cards that all pulled an 8. I thought they were all pretty clean. I had some Bowman Chrome U cards that I thought would be a 9, possibly an 8, and they pulled a 10. Sometimes I scratch my head on the grading.

You think PSA is gonna send us a complimentary stretcher?

Is there like a stoppage or something? Value Bulk arrived July 31st, still in Research and ID. I don't recall it ever taking this long pre-grading stage. Did they switch back to the old slabs so they have to wait until the slabs are manufactured and come in? Post-National bottleneck? Any thoughts??

New Jersey or California graders?

So far, comparing 4 submissions, I've had better results with California on modern and better results with New Jersey on vintage.

I haven't figured a way to assure orders make it to one destination or the other.

I have a value plus order that has been stuck in grading over a month and over a week past estimated completion date. I have never personally experienced a wait like this either. Every few days I check on it and think SURELY its moved to assembly by now. Nope lol.

NJ. It was a TPG order, so I knew it was going there. First and last time I do a TPG order.

I have an order where the "Assembly" stage has had a check (marking it completed) for the last three weeks now, and no grades ready:



Kind of makes their "stages" pointless if the checkmark shows it's "done", and it's three weeks later and no grades revealed. It's clearly not done.

PSA should just scrap the entire Dominos pizza tracker thing since it's pointless and just go minimalist like what SGC does. Bad info is worse than minimalist info in my opinion.

PSA is technically a TPG service (Third party grading service). Are you saying there are particular sub-TPGs that send to PSA and are assured to get graded at one location or another?

Would be great to know more about such services.

I have an order in the same stage as yours and I don't read that the order is "complete". To me, the green mark just means it's in that stage...the order is in the "assembly" process...which involves the encapsulation of the card with the label which is probably the scariest part for me as there's the possibility of a card getting damaged here. If by chance the card does get crimped/damaged, I can see that's where the grade is not released until the encapsulation process is done. People use to complain about not having more clarity about what stage an order is in the grading process so they gave us this. What we have now is much better than before. I think the post grading process is bogged down primarily with encapsulation and then the detail front/back scans...another "service" that people like but also need to understand that adds time to the whole process.
