what is a platinum member?

Are those the big breakers who have bots and early access to the links and hence why topps only releases the links to the monty club members after the platinum members get their fill?

People who spend 5 digits on Topps Now garbage are platinum members. They usually flip on ebay just to keep the parallels and get presales on Now Autographs

At least Panini's website you don't have to worry about not being able to find a new item. Topps you can't even search this stuff.

Panini website was incredibly trash back then, and that was a pre-pandemic period. Imagine how much more trash it'd be now (less success with manual orders).

Haha, that's actually crazy when many of us spend 5-digits on non-Topps Now Topps products annually.

Lots of breakers and hobby shops have MC accounts so that may explain the case limits. Really not collector friendly anymore.

There is only 1 product Panini put a set price on I can remember being this bad on Panini's website the last several years. The first Monopoly Prizm blasters. Even on those at least you had a link and knew the exact sales time. Panini rarely puts an in demand product with a set price. It's usually always an auction. Even with the auction being manipulated and pulled at certain prices, during the auction everyone has the same chance. There is no product ever auctioned, besides for I think 2020 Optic football sets /199, that a manual user couldn't buy every time.

Here's another secret. Every single time they do this, they sell out for less money than Topps could have sold them to manual users for. In some cases way way less.

They’ve been doing this on most products lately. Some will be set up with 10 case limit. My conspiracy theory is they are granting preferred accounts early access somehow to buy big quantities.

I don’t get why people are mad that cases sold out so quickly. Previously there were no case option and there was never an expectation we’d have that with the membership. Buying one box is what we signed up for.

Now if the boxes sold out super quick, then I’d be upset.

I've had a Fanatics rep since 2019. There were items when people didn't want them I was spending thousands on. Until Topps Chrome basketball, which he said hobby was gone right away, I hadn't heard from the guy since February. In February it was for a product sitting on Topps website for at a minimum days. The time before that was July 2023. Having a rep mattered in 2020-2021. It means essentially nothing now.

Well they advertised cases yesterday in their email, we were expecting an actual chance to get a case.

According to the two people I talked to on the phone from Topps/Fanatics, Platinum Club Members didn't have access to this. So most likely every single case order was a bot order or whomever Topps chooses to sell to before anyone else.
