I think it'll depend on how well they do in the playoffs

He will surely be a Yankee. I wish the Cubs would pay, but not gonna happen. But how mad are y’all going to be if he rejoins the Nats and all the guys that were traded for him?

The Dodgers IMO are really the only other threat at this point. That said and it's just my opinion but I think Soto would thrive with a team like the Rangers who have a young core group of guys and despite this season are the defending WS Champions. Adolis Garcia has finally come back to earth so it would be easy to move him and slide Soto into his spot. Only question is do they want to spend that much money. They have done it in the past with
A-Rod so who knows.

At the end of the day, Juan is Boras' boss. If Juan's #1 priority is to be with the Yankees, Boras will make that happen. Maybe he still gets the bag he wants, but he'll be a Yankee.

If Juan's #1 priority is to make as much money as possible, then who knows where he'll go.

The reason Boras remains relevant is because he does a great job for his clients.

Biggest problem with the Yankees is they are 1 Aaron Judge injury from being a 3rd or 4th place team in the A.L. East with a losing record or just barely above .500. Does Soto really want to take that risk of being stuck basically on the A.L. version of the Miami Marlins ? I'm just guessing but I think it's safe to say wherever he ends up it's going to be a 12-15 year deal and as much as I like Judge at 32 dude isn't still playing 44-47 yrs old. Does Soto really want to be stuck on a Judgeless Yankees Team that over the last decade have shown no interest in signing expensive generational superstars like old man George did ?

As I stated before, yankees have finished 1st with 99 wins without Juan Soto.

If anything this season points more towards pitching being the Yankees concerns. Should they play for 2026 and grab a pitcher free agent in a year….they will save half a billion and nearly have the same odds at a WS ring.

-Not sure you can have these 2 players produce better numbers in the same year…

That’s my contrarian shuffle stance for the sake of conversation.

Cole should opt out and force another year to be tacked on.

Yankees have to spend more on a big FA SP (looks like a bunch of SPs are hitting free agency).

Bullpen needs some work and the free agent closers don't look like anything special, so they should target relief arms when they trade their extra outfielders. Trade Stanton and trade Verdugo.

Sign Nick Pivetta to be your closer.

Yanks let Soto walk when someone offers him something crazy. I hope it's not the Cubs.

Don't trade Jay Buhner. He's got a rocket for an arm!

No one is going to trade for Stanton. He gets injured a lot and is a base running liability. Verdugo is a free agent after this season.

Default Future value being a Yankee with Judge

Question:

The future value of Juan Soto cards if he stays a Yankee?

If Soto stays a Yankee to a career Yankee deal (10 years++)

AND Aaron Judge is also still a Yankee over I guess a majority of those years.

Would Judge's cards just take value away from Soto's? Versus if Soto was with the GIANTS/REDSOX/Insert great team here.

Let's say they even win 1-2 championships and split 2-4 MVPS during those years.

Does his value increase being out of Judge's shadow?, popularity. (again if Judge can maintain this MVP level)

Or as long as the Yankees keep winning his value would be highest scenario of card value regardless of playing with Judge.
