Dave Hansen - 50 cards - turned into one of the best Pinch-hitters ever. Tied for most pinch-hit HR in a season at 7. 6th most hits. So nice to have on a pre-DH ball club, but not much as far as hobby worth
Chipper Jones was the other 50 card lot. Combine that with eventually getting on to TBS to be able to watch daily, and he is my PC.
I have a Dave Hansen PC. Not much out there but a few surprisingly tough cards to track down still.

I was mainly a pitcher growing up and that is my main PC: Feller and Nolan.

Currently Jasson Dominguez.

Someone needs to care about him because the Yankees FO obviously doesn't.

Leonardo da Vinci and Picasso RC's.

I'm a painter and look up to them.

For sports, Bobby Witt Jr. Great player and more importantly, seems like a genuinely good person that is easy to root for.

Nick Ciuffo - Committed to the Gamecocks in 8th grade, I saw him play in high school, when he got drafted in the 1st round I started buying his stuff. He never did much in the MLB, but he did at least make it. I still buy stuff I need for the rainbows I'm working on and base autos when they pop up.

CJ Edwards - Local kid, saw him play rec ball growing up. The fact that he was on the Cubs team that finally won a World Series is a plus.

Billy O'Dell - Went to the same church as my family when I was a kid. He gave me pitching lessons from the time I was 9. Tried to convince me to stop playing football and focus on baseball since I had a mid 90's fastball. I didn't listen and destroyed my knees and shoulders playing football instead.

It is too bad they gave up on him after his lone season at 3B, at age 23.

They’re in my signature below, and I collect their rookie/prospect cards because I believe in their ability to be great.

Does anyone else ever get bored with what they collect? I seem to collect something and after a couple months I get bored and then collect something else, then after a couple months I get bored again then I collect something else. It’s really seems like I have ADD or something.

I think so. I try to find new cards that I really like or players I collect. There are so many options or just shift the whole collection all together. I think it’s normal to want to change direction

Tyrone Taylor

Just liked him when the Brewers drafted him and watching him play for the Rattlers made me like him more.

I’m the same way- Sometimes I’ll go all in trying to complete a set, or a player/RC, or a parallel rainbow, and once it’s done, have to think for a couple weeks about what’s next. A big part of it for me is to have something to chase and complete- and that changes all the time.

Not a Cubs guy, but that Billy Williams is a beautiful card.
