I have a Value Bulk order in with PSA currently. It was in research until today when I just got an email to review my order. When I went in I had two cards with no description, they just said “Factory Mis-Print, No Grade, No Charge”
The cards in question are 2020 Contenders Clear Moaics, which are 1/1 and are not labeled as such. Regular clears are numbered /10. Clears without numbers are the Modaics and are 1/1. They are listed on the Beckett Checklist for the set, but they were not in PSA data base, so I wrote my own description on the Submission. Why are they labeling these as Factory Mis-prints? Will they never grade them? The email says to click the report error link if I think they made a mistake, but the link is not there for these two cards since they are unlabeled. In hindsight always send in a research request prior to submitting a card from a set that’s never been graded. It’ll save time and these types of things from occurring. If any of the 1/1’s were stamped 1/1 from the set you may be hard pressed to get them slabbed by PSA.

Ok. Didn’t know there was a research request prior to grading. Do you send the card and the request at the same time?

From looking at eBay, it appears they have slabbed some from the set but never identified on the label as 1/1. If you specified on your submission that it was a 1/1 that may be why it was rejected.

They may think the 1/1 stamp is missing.
Missing "Topps" foil will usually get the same N9 treatment:

What is being referred to is emailing/opening a support ticket with the research request before you send in the card. Then when they tell you that they will grade it and that it has been added to the database, you then send it in.....
