used a third party bidding website like buyee and was pretty easy.. only annoying thing is having to navigate the website in japanese and having to use translate
or searching items and having to copy and paste in japanese to search players

Yes. For rare jdm car parts back in the day. Now it's far easier with browser plugins that automatically translate full pages instantly.
Never had an issue. But always had a plug for it. It's easiest if you have a friend that lives in Japan that can act as a mediary and check stuff out before shipping to you, but using a paid 3rd party also works.
