The coach looked at me and said please tell him I asked about him, I’ll never forget what he did for me. He made me what I am today, I’d probably be dead or in jail if it wasn’t for him.

I am glad he had your back. We all need people like that in our lives.

It was good for the first couple months of the season because the staff was throwing all off-speed stuff (pitchers aren't actually good) and the league has adjusted to them.

Someone I work with (originally from Cuba), had her first kid when she was 14. Don't know if that is a cultural thing down there or not.

Welcome to the club. I had an employee report me to ER for being raciest because I said Marion Barry shouldn't have a statue erected in his honor and I watched Fox News in the office (so did two other people around him). I told ER if I was racist, why would I marry a woman who was married previously to a black guy and raise mixed kids? Why are all of my Team Leads on contract that I hired or promoted black?

Yup. When we got a U-Haul to take all of our stuff to the storage facility, the place open at 8AM and the worked didn't bother showing up until 8:20. He had 3 angry customers outside waiting for him.

When I was on Grand Jury Duty back in 2000 we heard about a sexual assualt of a 4 year old child. The Child's GREAT GRANDMOTHER testified about the assault, The GREAT GRANDMOTHER was 51 so she became a GREAT GRANDMOTHER at 46-48.

THis story resonated with someone I worked with at the time who was becoming a FATHER at 51.
