Phew. Tough win over a gritty Charlotte team.

Exactly they should not be struggling against a team that hasn’t won 30 games yet.

Watching the Padres tonight never realized how good Robert Suarez’s stats were.

Lost in Soto’s 3 home run night is that Cortes gave them a nice 7 inning shutout outing. I will not get too excited as it was the White Sox but they did put up 12 runs the day before.

Yeah while Soto is hitting dingers it seemed we were up 10 runs and honestly one more hit in the 9th I think would've put them over on us.

You are right, as I have said there is nobody in their bullpen right now that I trust no matter how big the lead. Their last 2 wins the 8-7 Texas debacle and last night’s 4-1 hold on and hope a grand slam doesn’t ruin our night game are perfect examples. I don’t know if it’s Boone using the wrong pitchers in the wrong situations or whether all these relievers just suck and it wouldn’t matter where he used them. Relief pitching and finding a trustworthy closer apparently isn’t easy as the Yankees aren’t the only team with bullpen problems though.

I just saw Emmanuel Clase’s stats for Cleveland and he is a big reason why they are where they are. Put a guy like Suarez or Clase as the Yankees closer and there is no telling what their record would be.

Its not just one guy on SD though, Suarez, Matsui, Estrada, Scott, Adam. They are 5 deep in the bullpen and will be a really tough out in the playoffs.

Yep. They’ve had quite a few two homer games it’s nice to finally get the third over the wall.

Yes I was going to mention that they are very deep bullpen wise.

Oswald Peraza called up to take Jazz's spot. Hopefully he has a good showing down the stretch. He has been doing great at AAA as of late hitting .317/.407/.658 with seven homers and eight steals in the last 21 games.

Awesome. I stopped at Walgreens after I dropped my son off as I hadn’t gone there in awhile. They had 1 2024 hanger box of topps heritage. What was the best card I pulled none other than the player I have been dogging Anthony Volpe 282 silver refractor 209/375 nice card here’s to hoping he picks up his game. Also pulled an Elly de la Cruz rc so not bad for 11.99

Oh crap I hope the bats are ready because they will need at least 6 runs to win this one.
