Did you sell your collection because you needed the money, or because you thought Ohtani cards had peaked in value and were ready to sell?

Would those cards be worth more or less today?

a.) because I laugh at greedy people on gameshows who lose it all.
b.) because it was the right thing to do
c.) because I was able to give 14% of it away to my favorite charity, bought my wife a car with cash, reinvested 10% in Wander/Tatis (worst part of the whole thing), and have about 1/3 of it sitting in the bank.


As far as value, probably more, but everything listed there was acquired for under $14k, and the third Dynasty was 20% of that total.

Full disclosure, I don’t know TB on a personal level. I’ve PM’d with him a few times talking/asking about certain cards over the last year or so. I just found out about 2 days ago that he even sold cards on eBay and I had to ask him what his eBay ID is so he’s certainly not pushing his cards in particular in private messages to people.

Ask yourself these same questions and look at his post history and see what you come up with yourself. He is pushing others to buy the cards hes owns and is actively selling. He wants people to be interested in those cards so they buy them and create others to be interested in them as well to help increase those cards values because he has multiple copies of many of them that he sometimes relists after one has sold. He then takes that money hes made from the cards hes pumping others to buy, as he has mentioned several times in this thread that that rest assured he takes that money and reinvests into other ohtani cards. While he is selling off the ones hes encouraging others to buy, he takes that money and buys other cards that he knows are better buys than whats he pumping here. Why is he not pumping those cards hes buying instead of the ones hes selling. Ill tell you why and thats because he doesnt want you interested in those so he can get better deals on them himself.

That father's day blue was sold at the peak Ohtani euphoria in 2021 on MYSLABS. There were zero negotiations or ways to communicate on that platform in 2021. 90% of all cards also overshot their peaks during covid and never reached it again. I guess that's my fault too.

Youre literally quoted on here stating you sold it last year in 2023, now youre claiming it was 2021 to what, try and save face? Sleazy. Fathers day blues gem mint in 2021 were selling for 1300 anyway. Nowhere near the 5k youre claiming was fair at the time. Just more bs lies to justify your sleaziness.

Edit: other gem mint copies of the blue were selling for 1900 in 2023 as well. Again nowhere near the 5k mark youre trying to justify as a fair deal in either of the two sale scenarios youve presented.
