So if Murray is a star then the coach is just being really stupid not playing him over 2 other non stars? This isn't a matter of having 4 ball hogs and needing 1 glue guy like what the USA has going, this is literally Jamal not playing over RJ Barrett or D Brooks.

He is an excellent running mate for Jokic, they play the DHO game well and have for years, which means they also have chemistry, but Jokic can do that with many other players, he's actually doing so with Bogdanovic right now. And it doesn't make Murray a star if he's merely been star-like for 2 playoffs runs and then either mid or injured for the rest of his career.

Alpaca has 2 half-century scoring games in his playoff resume, and 3 40+ pieces.

There's no way to argue against him being a microwave when the lights shine bright. It's literally one of the only things he's known for. Saying anyone could do what he does is wild. History has shown us countless of times that there are regular season stars that wilt when the games count. A lot of them.

He's the exact opposite.

I mean...if Yoker is an auto-precursor to next level teammate success (regardless of skill ceiling), then why are AG and MPJ so overwhelmingly underwhelming during the playoffs? Yet somehow Jamal isn't.

Gordon has been good and MPJ was as well during their ship run.

Maybe a better question is how long of a streak does it take to establish one's stardom? I don't think 2 playoff runs does, I guess others disagree with me.

AG's 13/6/3 career in the playoffs and maintained similar #'s during their run.

MPJ was 13/8/2 that same year.

Now these slashlines would be the epitome of 'mid.'

I guess we have very different interpretations of good.

I can't see anyone making a legitimate argument on how Jamal or those other 2 are in the same stratosphere in terms of their importance to the team or being the Robin to Yoker's Batman.

If all-star worthiness only encompassed postseason play, then Alpaca's absolutely in.

Pretty cool souvenir, medalist goggles!

Mostly have the day off today and succeeded in figuring out the laundromat so that’s a big dub

Proves how important Murray is. When he’s injured and not cooking the nuggets don’t make it far. As good as joker is I would expect him to carry the team deeper more often. Murray isn’t a mvp, superstar, or number one on a championship team, but he is most definitely an all star level player that exceeds all stars during the important moments. How many playoff game winners and taking over in fourth quarters when the team needs someone to step up do we need to see to give him his respect.

Jamal Murray: good enough for the NBA playoffs but not good enough for the Olympics?

Super amped for the upcoming showdown with Brazil and all its 10 minutes of competitiveness.

Really hoping Ronaldinho suits up.

I was about to go and lay some $$ on Serbia to beat Aus but they're raging faves.

Now Aus is exactly where they want to be, a massive underdog.

I'll still be shocked if they win. But at least now I like their betting odds.

The most intriguing story is that even overseas everyone hates Embiid! Ah ah ah

Mills, Giddey on fire. Even Exum chipping in. Aussie Guards shredding Serbia and they just played much harder especially in that 1st Q.

Somewhat dubious unsportsmanlike seemed to wake up Serbia, thank goodness they didn't call that 2nd one. That Serbian seems like a bit of a grub

I wonder if the Aussies can hold on, game is nice and physical. Real knockout Basketball!
You get the feeling Serbia is going to run them down but I'm rooting for Australia.

I'm baffled Josh Green doesn't play, DD has been rough. Serbia playing tougher D and getting away with it

Fun ending to the game, Jokic went closer mode. Horrible in-bound pass by Giddey sealed it

Sad end for Australia there. Hopefully Giddey's inj isn't serious, didn't look great. He can play ball, despite having the strangest rotation on his shot. Pretty slow wind up too but that Court vision and when he's aggressive...
