He did somewhat resurrect himself as a Bronco before he retired but even there I doubt he left any linebackers or defensive back as road kill on the football field.

There are more who mowed down more defenders than Jackson ever did - Eric Dickerson & Adrian Peterson. They took out their share of opponents.

In todays NFL the runner would be down because the defender touched him with both hands. The runner would be flagged for excessive contact and receive a 24 hour ban from the fortnight servers.

Anyone ever play the 1994 version of Tecmo Superbowl and remember how Heyward's "power" was like 88? And Means was like at 56? No way you could bring down Heyward with one guy in this game. But his speed was like 25 LOL.

The best active player for this question has to be Derrick Henry.

There was a specific run/game where Lenny Fournette ran over the Steelers and I thought he may be the guy. No Mas.

I do think the Bus was one of the best to ever do it in my lifetime.

2 names not mentioned yet Ottis Anderson but I am biased here based on his Superbowl performance against the Bills and Terrell Davis, you don’t gain as many yards as he did without running over a few defenders.
