Their app is working fine on Mac now, no issues. Been using it for a few months now and all is well.

Hey everyone, having an issue with my fi-8170 and hoping someone here may have a fix. When I am scanning, sometimes the card will not scan and the scanner will spin for second. Then I will be directed choose where I want the card to be sent (folder, etc). I'll have to do this, then go back and continue scanning. The problem seems to be getting worse, and is getting rather irritating. I've cleaned all the sensors, wheels, feeders, etc and am still having the issue. I do scan my cards in top loaders.

Has this happened with anyone else? If so, any tips?

Thanks!

I'm wondering whether anyone has purchased/scanned using the autoloader1000 for their scanner.

https://www.laskisinnovations.com/sh...NLY-p549386426

This looks like will help me scan a lot of cards but not sure how it will work well and not damage raw cards. Would chrome cards work well ?

I have not used the loader. I have had issues with base Bowman Chrome cards getting damaged. I can't say it's the thickness because raw Heritage cards are fine. Just a huge roller mark on Chrome. So I have a general rule of using penny sleeves for shiny stuff.

Edited to add: Bowman paper was damaged too. All were left with a roller mark.

I’m thinking of taking the leap and purchase the Fuji scanner and card dealer pro. Any reasons NOT too? It seems pretty cool but I want to get the opinions of the experts and more experienced members here first before diving in. Thanks

How about be like NIKE and Just DO It. I will be doing this when I get back from vacation in August. Your only other decision is to pick Krono or CDP for listing faster. You have been lurking forever so get to listing.

Thank you!! You are 100% right! Thank you for motivating me to get off my arse and just do it! (I really needed that motivation and extra push, so thank you) I will just start off small and see how it goes. I appreciate you.

For me personally, for high volume listing I bought the FI-7160 refurbished from a reputable seller on Ebay (about 1/2 the price of the 8170) and have had it about a year or so with no issues at all.

I'm considering moving up to the 8170 eventually so I can run thicker stock cards through it as well as toploaded, but going to continue running the 7160 for now. Wanted to test drive it for a little bit before REALLY jumping into the deep water and have done pretty well so far!

I saw that Card Dealer Pro is monthly. Do I have to obligate for a year? If I do use it and decide not to renew, do all my listings created with CDP come down at the end of the month or something?

No annual subscription. Once you upload to eBay they stay uploaded, CDP does not have any insight into what you have uploaded.

Appreciate the response. I might try it out now. Maybe start low and go from there. I just read another thread that gives me another insight on the service. Something about scans rolling over to the next month but I got time so if they are getting scanned, they are getting put on eBay right away. I mght dabble on shopify too.

Start low, scans DO NOT roll over from month to month on your monthly subscription. They DO roll over for ones bought. I typically do the cheapest plan monthly and then buy 50k listings at a time. That way I am not rushed if I have more listings one month and then slower the next.

Question for you all using these scanners. Do you still get that line that runs through the card? Like it puts a scratch on the plastic sleeve and typically visible on darker cards?

I have the Epson ES-400 II and it creates this effect and can't get around it, wanted to see if people have more success with the Ricohs or whatever other scanners people in this thread use.

I have the same scanner. Only had the scanner a year but when this happens to me, I clean the scanner, put on a new penny sleeve and rescan rotating the card 90 degrees.

Thanks! I do clean the scanner often once the line shows up but usually start to give up after a while. I will try the new penny sleeve and rotating the cards.

If you haven't already, watch this video and order the new part. This guy figured out what was causing print lines from the scanner on the back of cards that get scanned, and made a 3d printed part that fixes the issue. I ordered the part, installed and scanned and no more lines on the back of my cards. Luckily I caught the issue when it first started happening with my scanner, it seems like scanning toploaders can cause the part to start causing damage. I will no longer be scanning any toploaders in my scanner.
Hope this helps some others out

Is anyone else having issues with the set name not matching the card match?

Yes, it is messed up. I just sent them an email with the some screenshots. Hopefully they fix it soon.

That part is not necessary, it works completely fine without one (I think I mentioned removing it in this thread a few pages back, but could be a different one)

So I went with the EPSON ES 300 and this has been a wow. The cost was low and the speed and everything else on this scanner has been awesome. Saved over $300 vs the Fijitsu/Ricoh
