SO is this all just a put on? Like he represents the everyman basketball who could never make it on NBA floor being thrust out into the limelight. Except he grew up with it, so it's alright.

Sarr now has the worse TS% of the two... and Bronny didn't get picked #2.

Sarr is just trying to do too much. Trying to bring the ball up the floor getting ripped, dribble drives getting ripped, step back 3s? Why on earth are you taking step back 3s?

Can’t even shoot a spot up. Atrocious screen setting, below average rebounding yikes

I don’t think he’s as bad as Wiseman, who had no clue what he was doing on the court.

Sarr at least shows some decent decision making. He can hit a cutter or open guy with a good pass so it’s not all bad. But yea yesterday was really really bad

Sarr is reminding me of Hasheem Thabeet.

Reed is playing as I expected. He's showing all-star capabilities and already has the confidence a young potential star needs.

The only other player from this draft I see as special is Zach Edey. If Zach can showcase improved passing skills on the NBA level it should allow him to get 25 minutes a game and eventually allow him to turn into a 20/10/5 guy. Memphis is definitely going to be a fun team to watch next year if Edey fulfills his NBA potential and Ja is able to stay on the court.

edit. Forgot about Clingan. He's going be a good one too.

Apparently the Hawks compared Reed to Patrick Mahomes - they tried to get both Clingan and Reed and Rockets wouldn't move off of 3.

This is what he claims he is. Many here didn't understand the giant red flag of a guy who didn't want to be the #1 pick... like who does that? Because he wants to do more things on the court, that he pretty clearly cannot do? A guy who wants to be a primary ballhandling 4 rather than feast off dimes from Trae Young? Ok dude, good luck with that.

The more I think about it, it is the Wizards and they are built to tank, so it's probably a good thing that Sarr is so raw and has horrible BBIQ and will be absolutely awful in this first season which coincides with a strong draft.

I wouldn't go that far. He did show some pretty decent offensive awareness like I mentioned in terms of hitting cutters or making good passes to open guys

Summer League is a place to take horrible shots tbh. The stakes are low and there's really nothing to lose by chucking

As I said before the draft, his offense is terrible. Too small to play the 5, can't shoot from anywhere on the floor, and non-existent footwork in the paint.

It also doesn't help that he has no awareness for rebounding the ball at all. He cannot track the ball off the rim

Westbrook can also do those things while not having the greatest BBIQ or self awareness [especially for a PG].

I agree that putting up shots in summer league is fine, but when your BBIQ is in question and you often look lost in very general situations, it's maybe a good idea to practice making good decisions when the stakes are low, rather than hoist up 3's when you get 4-on-1 advantages. Him making the right pass in that situation would've been way more impressive than him even making that shot.

Baseline comp for Aliexpress Slemby was always Thon (whom would have probably gone 1st if teleported to the year 2024) with defensive tenacity. BO wylin,' per usual.

I knew he was going to struggle early because he's possesses the core strength of Martin Phillips. But he also has no quality point guard on the summer squad to help facilitate offense.

Unfortunately we live in a tunnel vision society where buckets are all casuals see. But Washington has got themselves a straight out the box upper tier defender that can face up even 1's and 2's off the dribble and has impressive recovery.

If he can throttle the KD cosplay and add 15-20 pounds, he's going to be a decent 2-way 4/5. His shot 'looks' about as awkward and broken as Wadlow's was before that 2nd half season surge.

Just lol@thinking an inefficient rook is a complete and utter detriment to a squad like Washington, of all places. A team spearheaded by the almighty Poole Party and Kooz.

All these things are now considered positives, because it means your ankles will not be shook after three seasons in the league.

Great move. Denver could have used Russ a few months ago.

Bronny clearly much worse as a player but the more I watch Sarr, the more I think he’s a worse draft pick

NotLikeUsBrook a Denverite?

Feels like a match made in Sarr inefficiency heaven.

Will Rusty n' Daeve be able to put aside their geopolitical differences and become bff's?
Stay tuned for details.

Speaking of.

Go-ahead board and assist(team leading). Game sealing face-up/TO on Sac's pg.

Keep the shot attempts to single digits and allow Poole / Fashionista / Kelce to let it fly.

La futura.

As long as Westy is better than Reggie as a backup PG then I'll be rooting for him, and he should be.

nugs were bottom half of the league for second chance points and russ crashes the glass a lot. what he lacks in high volume scoring he makes up for in many other elements.

Westbrook as a backup PG is probably one of the league's best. The only issues is that he carries a huge usage with him.

Which is probably what Denver needs when Joker and Murray are on the bench since MPJ can't create his shot.
