Seller made it a point to talk about how much money they make and how much they sell. I didn’t care enough to see for myself. I just said congrats on your success and moved on. I will simply never buy a card without seeing both sides of it.

Could be out of town while auction is running. I will often start auctions that end right about the time I return from vacations.

I also store many items once listed off site especially store items. Many sellers do this.

Many Ebay bidders love buyers with that mindset. I have bought many items due to lack of photos and got them alot cheaper than I should have. So thanks.

That would be cool if he had said that, but he didn’t. He essentially said, “Nah, I can’t be bothered to do that.” If you’re cool with that then kudos for you.

Would be cool if you were able to read. I was referring to prospectgems situation.

Truth is though 99% of buyers who ask for more photos do not buy anyway. Many sellers just block those buyers

Yeah, at that point it's best to just move on. I am sure it is costing them more sales than they think but that's their choice honestly if that's how they want to run their business, now they just lost a potential buyer.

And honestly that's a sellers choice if they decide to only take one picture. I do think there is downside to it honestly plus having a picture of the back also avoids more communication and work that can be avoided by posting both images.

I do agree you can most likely get items cheaper when sellers do this, you are taking that risk though that the card is damaged on the back especially if they list it as near mint and the back looks chewed up.

To me I don't care if someone only takes one picture of a cheap card but when you are pushing higher dollar raw cards, there is zero reason not to take a back picture.

That risk is minimum. Ebay protection then cc protection guarantees if item is not as described. If I get something not as described I pack it right back up in same box or package I got it in and send it out with my outgoing shipments. I am out less than a quarter.

I agree on the photos but even then there is a class of buyers who will still ask for more pics or whatever just to make a seller dance for the possible dollar. Those bad apples tend to spoil the bunch

Atleast with sports card sellers actually use pictures and not just a stock photo like TCG sellers do.

I was listing some cards the other day and on a couple it actually had a stock photo come up for the item. It happens every once in a while.

Sold a premium hot wheels car. Listing title stated damaged card. The photo you can clearly see the card is bent and likely creased. Buyer sends message today whining about the card being damaged.

Then had another leave a neg because I had not shipped the item. He bought it at 2AM Sunday morning and left the neg around 730AM Monday morning. Ebay promptly removed it.

New message from: (198TURQUOISE_STAR Star)
Got any room on this

There are 4 listed for $2 less than mine so I really do not know why he asked me. All I can think is he asked all the other sellers the same and got no response.

Upon further looking into I sent him an offer and he rejected it so to me there is no room he passed.

I have a card up for $19.99 and free shipping - no offers because it's a solid price.

Tire Kicker sends this message: $14?

My reply is: Based on recent sales it's priced very well with free delivery - the last one just went for $32+ delivered and I'm seeing an average sales price of $28.79 over the last six months.

They reply: $16 let’s get it done

I ended the listing and relisted at $24.99.

I had one kind of like that, but it was from an offer sent by me. I have a card listed for $75 and sent out $55 offer to 4 watchers. One sends a response would you take less. My response is for this player and how he is playing batting .350 in A and AA ball now batting almost .400. This buy has a similar card different color 1/1 for over $350. He wants me to sell it for $40. I said have a nice day.

Make sure to message that buyer and let them know they can get an even better deal now.

This is why I just block them. They just waste time.

Why respond at all if you are not taking offers?
The minute you respond justifying your price you leave the door open for more back and forth.
I think a better reply would have been...
"Thank you for the offer, but the price is firm. Cheers, Swipe79"

Had a buyer return an item that came back damaged and missing screws because someone took it apart. I messaged them about it and they went off and sent 9 messages some very long in just a few minutes. One of them was they just left from church, another was they just took their kid toy shopping. Left me a neutral telling me to contact them. Then they ended up cancelling the return altogether. $100+ item. The entire thing was very weird.

For anyone wondering ebay removed the neutral in about 5 minutes. I was pleasantly surprised.

I responded based on my own experience. I've had a few people buy cards outright when I point out that the card is already priced very fairly, including one last week.

I had a buyer ask me to hold a card for a couple of months for him and I’m dying of laughter.

I have a PSA 8 card listed with both front and back pictures.

Potential buyer: "Hi there, can you share more photos of the front and back of card?"

I had this exact message today

"This is my offer: NOTHING! STOP underselling cards!"

This is a card I have had listed since February. Still haven't changed the price
