Luka didn’t play up to his potential in the finals - his deconditioning and lack of mental toughness got to him. I saw nothing that resembled the killer instinct that Jordan or Kobe had from Luka in the finals.

Perhaps Luka is really a product of his generation, soft and unmotivated to get himself better. We will have to wait and see how he responds in the offseason.

No excuses for Luka - he was outplayed and destroyed by a team of better players. His legacy will be created by how he responds to this loss - either as a future NBA all time great, or simply another end of generation entitled millennial.

Luka bag holders will have to wait a bit longer for this one…..

I never get why people go as low as saying fans are bag holders.

It's pretty clear almost all in this thread aint gonna sell even if he got a bump. Plus he's priced in to win.

Bringing up LeBron is another baffling one. Man, he actually lives rent free in your head. As a Bron "hater" myself, take a break.

I think any team would take Tatum and Brown over Luka or Jokic. Pretty simple math there.

Klay Thompson is headed to Dallas. Thompson intends to sign a three-year, $50MM contract with the Mavericks, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN (Twitter link), who says the deal will include a player option.

As Wojnarowski outlines, the Mavs will acquire Thompson from Golden State in a three-team sign-and-trade, with swingman Josh Green heading from Dallas to the Hornets in the deal.

Green was one of a few who gave.maximum effort off the bench. I think this frees up Jaden Hardy to be a Brunson type 2nd unit rotation off the bench and 15-20 min a game. He showed enough to earn it.

Why stars didn’t need help though?

MJ needed Pippen, Rodman, Oakley and a bunch of other all-stars.

LeBron needed Wade, Bosh, Irvine, Allen, etc.

KD needed Curry, Klay, Draymond, Iguodala, etc.

Kobe needed Shaq, Gasol, Odom, Artest, Fisher, etc.

Magic and Bird needed so many all-stars.

Luka is playing with a bunch of cast offs and 3rd stringers.

They just faced a team that has a ton of talent. Picking up Klay is hardly picking up a Superstar
