Can't wait!
Hoping to meet some BO fam! I'll be there with a local card buddy so hoping to meet a few fello BO folks making it out as well

I'm pleased as punch it's back in Ontario. It's only a short drive for us. I purposely missed the last Burbank show when it was in Orange Co. I despise OC traffic, having done that commute for a year, that drive sucks.

Will be there Friday and possibly Sunday. Unfortunately, I'm not seeing any discount tickets like last year.

Does anyone know of any pre-sale codes for a 1-day admission? thanks

I begrudgingly purchased a ticket last night. I'm setting my expectations low, low, low.

I don't plan on staying long, just long enough to find some deals for my PC and get the hell out of Dodge before the zion/pelican case What'sApp crowd shows up en masse

The February timing in spring makes me want to jump in my car and shoot down but job/family/finances being what they are I just can’t pull it off unfortunately. Hoping for a good time and good finds for all. Make some new friends y’all.
It’s the best part of this thing.

Super busy day at the show.

One of the things about going to big shows, you see big cards...

Haliburton Prizm Neubula RC 1/1
Devin Booker Prizm RC Auto Black 1/1

Amazing to see these cards in person! Also, the Bronny and LeBron Super PSA 10!

Just got back. A TON of Ohtani. A TON of Kobe too. TONS of graded. Almost an obscene amount of graded if you ask me. Graded graded graded. UGH. I just walked past all of it. Lots of influencers/zion/pelican cases. Saw a kid who was probably 10 years old, buy a Kobe auto for $4,000. Was plopping down a wad of hundred-dollar bills like it was nothing. Strange world we live in.

Lots of dealers buying. Even a few dealers when I came to their table asked if I was selling or trading. I said nope, only buying. I got a few weird looks when I said that. It was odd.

Managed to get some steals. Either the seller was misinformed about the value of the cards, or just wanted to unload inventory quickly so there'd be less to haul back to wherever they came from.

I could have stayed a few more hours but thought nah, time to head home.

Cards of note:

Tom Brady Illusions HoloHeroes #13 PSA 9 for $65. Dealer (who was a Bucs fan) even threw in a bunch of mosaic/prizm/ Bradys and Evans cards into the deal. The HoloHeroes PSA 9 is a case hit

Managed to locate a HUGE card for my James Bond PC. Raw (But extremely nice condition) Gemma Arterton Full-Bleed SP. There's one graded SGC on eBay right now for $700. Autos of Gemma Arterton are VHTF as she has publicly stated she regrets being a Bond Girl, so it's unlikely she will ever sign again for a Bond release. This card is by my estimation, about a $400-$450 card. Maybe more to the right buyer. Dealer who was super nice wanted $150. I talked him down to $125 cash. Really cool guy.

Went to the show today (Saturday) and had a great time. Really liked the size of the show... big enough to be fun with lots of dealers and corporate booths, but no so huge that it became purely overwhelming. You could reasonably take in the entire show in a morning or an afternoon at what I consider a normal pace of browsing and chatting. The porridge was "just right" for me.

I'm a huge USC Flawless football collector and there was exactly one USC Flawless card in the building but that's okay. There was so much eye candy... something for everyone for sure. Modern graded of all sports and Pokémon as far as the eye can see. Shiny for days! Love the booths that had cool/obscure 1990's inserts and crazy rare bat knobs and stuff you just never see. Lots of dealers with major, major inventories!

Luckily, I'm also a vintage baseball guy, and I met a few really, really nice vintage dealers and made a few solid 1933 Goudey HOF pickups at very reasonable prices. Was pleasantly surprised. But overall I'd say the show was 85% modern to maybe 15% vintage. But there were enough dealers where that still was plenty of vintage for guys like me.

It's insane how much money gets thrown around at these shows. Endless cases and cases of multi-thousand dollar cards. People trading, selling and buying at a brisk pace. Seemed like it was a big success for vendors - overheard many saying they were having a great weekend. The Burbank Sportscard guys really did a great job organizing everything. Parking was easy. Clean facility. Organized entry. Good security.

Overall, I would totally go again.

Went to the show today around Noon. Place was busy with wheeling and dealing.

Popular: TAG's custom cards - There were constant line people getting their TAG custom cards. They looked nice but I decided to spend time on the floor.

Dealers' Selections: Bulk of the dealers had modern baseball, football, and basketball. Again hockey cards were pretty scarce but little bit better than last show. Soccer cards seem to be little bit less than last time. A lot of Pokemons everywhere.

Dealers' Pricing: They had the price stickers on the card which were better than last show. Prices were all over the place so you have to go around the show comparing prices. Most dealers were interested in dealing so it seemed better than last show. I was able to deal with the dealer to get one of my want list card.

Grading card companies: It looked pretty slow for PSA/Beckett/TAG today. They had few drips of people dropping off and picking up the cards when I passed by few times today. I was able to submit to PSA pretty quickly.

Card cleaning services - I saw about 5 cleaning services. Wow, I did not realize that there are so much demand in card cleaning services.

Pelican cases - Literally bulk of attendees had Pelican case filled with cards to sell/trade.

Influencers - I saw few of them passing by. Great Curator/Roth Card were at their respective tables and seemed bit bored. Mojo sports had few people around his table and interacting.

Again, card show was organized well. One floor connected worked well instead of two different floors in Anaheim.

Few suggestions for the organizers:
1) Parking for $20 with no in/out is rip off. I passed by one week prior to card show and they were only charging $10 with no in/out. Let convention center know to stop ripping sportscard collectors. Make it $10 with no in/out or make it $20 with ins/outs.

2) Make Sunday entrance fee cheaper than Fri/Sat. Most dealers leave early or no show.

3) Get Upper Deck or Topps to show up in the Corporate booth. Upper Deck is about 2 hour drive from Ontario and 1 hour from Anaheim. Topps sponsored the VIP night. That will help drive shows to be like National or Toronto Expos.

4) Setup some educational sessions throughout the show. They could cover like how to grade your card, history of cards, how to identify parallels, etc. That would be very helpful to collectors.

5) More videos to be posted to the Burbank Card Show website/instagram account by Card Father. His long videos show casing the shows are great.

That's it for the show.

Had a table. Sold a lot of random cards, it helped bringing a good mix of everything. Wasn't able to buy any 1952 Topps High that I needed because sellers were cleaned out by the time I could walk around. Picked up a few PC cards:

* 1986-87 Fleer Dominique Wilkins RC BGS 9

* 2007 Topps WWE Action CM Punk Auto

* 2019-20 Immaculate Kawhi Leonard Jersey Number Jumbo Patch 2/4

* 1985 Donruss Kirby Puckett RC PSA 9

* 2011-12 Panini Hoops Jeremy Lin Autograph PSA 10 AUTO 10 (Pop 4)

Show was very organized, lots of security.

Didn't bother getting a custom slab since I have my own card from 2016 Bowman Draft, which is graded by TAG, so I just wore that.

The usual clown car of self-appointed hobby legends & clout chasers were there.

A group of aggressive buyers we encountered did the usual Comp Checks, but would offer to pay us 70% for the cards. At our table. We weren't the only ones these clowns tried that on. I guess they'll keep trying their insulting and abrasive tactics until someone bites.

Main room smelled like a construction site port-a-potty by mid afternoon because of all the people and the handful who had zero regard for personal hygiene.

Overall a great show, Anaheim on August 22-25 is next.

I have a table next to the Mojo sport(on the left if you face the table), I have ton of BBM Ohtani cards and some random Japan vintage card(menko card). Overall the show is great.
The only thing I'm little upset is that, because I didn't setup on Thursday night and Mojo guys are use my table for some kind the event which is fine since I was not here to setup at Thursday night, but they leave unfinished soda bottle(gross!) and trash on the table. I have to clean it up on the Friday morning before I can setup.

These must be some fancy shows or times have changed. Can't say I've ever been to a card show that had security.

It's typically required if the expected attendance is above a certain number. Much like weddings. If you submit a guest list above the city limits, the wedding planner/venue will require security.

The Burbank Sports Card show in Anaheim last summer also had Anaheim PD officers inside the venue area

Pretty much every show I’ve been to in the last few years has some type of security. Even the smaller ones. on/off duty cops usually or typical bright yellow shirt type security company.

The show in Pasadena at the end of January also had several Police Officers on site providing security.
