Now that a good amount of this has been busted do we have an idea of print runs for Jackson Holliday ? Mainly the Regular (Batting) SP vs. Fun Face

Anyone else putting together a team set of the team color variation and not finding cards that are listed on the checklist?

Mark Canha specifically. He's listed on the checklist as having the team color variation, but none have appeared on Ebay.

Edited - Never mind. Mark Canha team color has surfaced on Ebay.

He debuted May 1st, 2023. The Topps RC cut-off date is always a hot topic, but May 1st is clearly so early that he had to have RC logo cards in 2023 or not at all.

I think the S2 Canha card is a photoshop job; maybe that messed up the team color card creation process. Every once in a great while Topps will put a true Spring Training picture in S2 for a player on a new team. Usually though they will just have the software change the uniform image instead.

Not trying to hijack the thread with the controversial “what is a rookie card” debate, but the ‘purists’ among us would point out that a single 1/1 autographed patch debut card of David Fry would not constitute his “true RC”.

While it lacks the “RC” logo/shield, the 2024 Topps Series 2 card #446 would be his actual rookie card based on the traditional definition. Sucks for the people who insist that only RC logo cards are/can be actual rookie cards, since only 1 person (if any) will ever be able to track down and own that card.

I think just because the Fun Face one has so many variations it appears that way but that said I think the batting SP is much more eye appealing and it's the one I am buying. I have 2 so far and will buy a few more as the price comes down.

Opened 16 Fanatics blasters today and pulled all 4 RC short prints from them. Previously opened 8 jumbo boxes and pulled none. Also pulled a Jung-Hoo Lee auto to /199 from the blasters.

I usually rip retail boxes (for Topps), but tried my luck w/ a Monster from WM instead and it didn't disappoint...
