Too soon. I’m sure you’ve heard that before. Keep going on with your insider trading

Definitely not a bad spot, although the Cowboys would have to be pretty damn bad in order to get a pick high enough to get him (or trade all the way up, which would cost them elsewhere and I'm not even sure who or what they could give to get there)

Finn has some talent, for sure. Not a chance he wins the Heisman, but I love that you gave him credit for what he's done. It's clear that you know ball.

If I was forced to throw down a gun to my head Heisman winner bet right now, I would go with Dillon Gabriel. I'm really curious to see how things play out in that Oregon offense this year versus when it was ran by Nix because of one specific contrast. Nix was often criticized, at least as a pro prospect, for his extremely low air yards per throw in the Oregon offense. Calling him a check down specialist is harsh, but they did rely on a ton of short throws.
Now they have brought in a guy who is known for a lot of air yards on his throws. Gabriel has been an aggressive middle to downfield passer. Was it Oregon's offense that kept Nix throwing short? If so, Gabriel's pass profile is about to change dramatically. But if it was Nix's limitations instead of the offense specifically, then we will see that through Gabriel's numbers. |
