I’ll admit I had no idea who Carlos Locklyn was before we hired him and I read all the articles…
But sounds like most people agree it’s a stellar hire

Does ASU have a spring game? I legit don’t know
We can’t get 80,000 if we added 3 games together so probably not Which is legit sad and makes me sad

I don’t care if it’s 2025…
Buckeyes just added their 11th Top 100 player today That seems good

Will Howard is the perfect fit for this team. I see a benefit to having our top guy not being too much better than his backup (I still believe in Brown) in that we can expect Howard to let it loose from Day 1 without fear of injury. In the past, we had Stroud with McCord as his backup, which was a serious drop in talent. Before that, we had Fields with no real backup until Stroud was ready, and we all know Fields' first year was without any real Plan B so he wasn't able to run much. Things are different this year, though.

Such a tired, cope-filled narrative. We got a transfer QB from Kansas State -- not exactly a powerhouse, and not considered a top tier QB. Then we added a RB who supposedly was on the outs with his prior program and who supposedly talked so much junk to his own o-line that his QB (Dart) reportedly asked the coach to bench him. It was clear he was going elsewhere, and OSU served as a program upgrade for him, and playing behind Treveyon Henderson provided load management from his perspective. Then we added a safety whose legendary coach retired suddenly, and who had us second in his initial recruitment; not exactly an obvious money-driven decision. Finally, we added an incoming freshman QB who had the same legendary coach retire as the safety we added, so he went where he was comfortable (Bill O'Brien), with the benefit of playing with the best and most consistently elite WR room in the country.
But yeah, money made all that happen... If money were the sole or primary motivator, other teams would have been in the mix, but they weren't. But your comment has encouraged me to donate another $1k to the NIL fund (thanks Nvidia call options). |
