PANINI AND PROFESSIONAL FIGHTERS LEAGUE ANNOUNCE EXCLUSIVE MULTI-YEAR TRADING CARD PARTNERSHIP
Irving, TX (June 5, 2024) — Panini America, the world’s largest sports and entertainment collectibles company, and the Professional Fighters League (PFL), the fastest growing and most innovative sports league, have announced a multi-year sports trading card partnership. Panini and the PFL, its fight franchises and athletes will deliver new and innovative products to the MMA sports trading card category. The first product release will come via Panini Instant, a real-time, direct-to-consumer platform, which will be followed by the release of PFL Prizm later this year. “We are very proud and excited to be partnering with the Professional Fighters League,” said Jason Howarth, Senior Vice President of Marketing and Athlete Relations for Panini America. “The PFL has enjoyed tremendous growth and its events and athletes continue to engage fight fans all over the world. For our Panini MMA fans our partnership with the PFL will allow fans to collect Panini’s products that energized the MMA trading card category.” Will also have NFT's. Can't say I'm excited or knowledgeable enough to know if there will be any fighters worth chasing now that Harrison is gone. Upper Deck had the license previously as up to even 2023 they released a 25-card box set the last few years. Not sure deal details obviously but if it was cheap I guess it makes some sense as you could luck out and have a prodigy that starts in PFL and draws attention, similar to how the WNBA license was probably pretty useless until this year when product will be crazy for Caitlyn Clark. |

Francis Ngannou is probably the only fighter there that the casual MMA fanbase is familiar with. Not that his UFC cards have a high value and I don't know if he'd even sign for the set. If the price is reasonable it would be a fun break but I may have a different idea of "reasonable" than Panini.

Donn Davis is a bumbling moron who’s going to run PFLattor into the ground more than it already was. What’s the chase for this set? Nearly every relevant fighter on the PFLattor roster already has a gluttony of prior Topps autos.

there's plenty of names that even someone with a passing interest in MMA / Combat Sport would recognise. Ngannou, Marc Diakiese, Kasanganay, Brendan Loughnane, Derek Brunson, Cedric Doumbe, Amanda Serrano, Magomedkerimov.. |

I'd imagine Dakota Ditcheva would be a draw as a young, talented (and relatively untested) fighter on the roster.

Serrano would be good, but I have a feeling she wouldn't end up signing for this
