She had me take her to the Dollar Tree. At least when we got there, the fire alarms were going off all throughout the stores so I got to see a fire truck.

Now she wants me to help her with mulch.

As for the second part: she is allowed to insist you spend time with her. She is your wife after all. Not to mention it is the day before Mother's Day. You best be grinning and bearing it.
