So do the Knicks look at the Embiid tape and purposely knee him in the nuts and grab at his legs the rest of the series since it's either a no call or just a flagrant 1? We all know Embiid would flail on the ground and be out like 2 months if Hartenstein grabbed at his legs while jumping.

Seems like a good reason for Jericho Sims to get some early game 4 minutes.

That was pretty impressive. You don't normally see a player going for the double flop. Flop on your offensive shot and immediately flop on the defensive side. Press should ask him about that strategy. He followed up with a tackle on Robinson.

If it were a lesser player, he would have been tossed for sure. Superstar calls are the most annoying thing in the NBA. One of Jordan's lasting legacies (I get it was a Stern thing, but Jordan was the reason for it).

Agreed 100%. It wouldn't have been a question. If say Robinson did this to Embiid, Robinson would have been tossed, Embiid would be out for 2 months and the 76ers thread would have 5 more pages by now

Correct. 76ers have proven their entire season (every year) relies on Embiid. The NBA knows that. Keep Embiid in and you keep eyes on the game. The guy had MULTIPLE dirty plays last night. Multiple. 80% of the league would have been ejected for less.

This was game 4 of Western Conference Semifinals.

Embiid has no defense, common now. He clearly was frustrated all 1st half and on that play thought a charge was warranted and rage grabbed Robinsons legs.

You don't have to defend him.

Hartenstein flopped cause he got beat and caused it himself. Robinson was just incidental contact from shotting motion.

I don't think he was in the right. Should he have been tossed? Yes, probably, but it could have been a lot worse. He grabbed him just enough to disrupt his shot.

My main point is that they weren't tossing him after the way game 2 ended

I'm trying not to get too invested in the Wolves until they get past round 1. Minnesota teams aren't trustworthy. Even a 2-0 series lead doesn't get me too hyped.

No star in the playoffs has ever been tossed for the foul Embiid committed, not ever. And he was clearly trying to protect from his bad knee getting fallen on again.

Brunson is 10x the foul-grifter Embiid is, it's amazing. He jumps sideways and backwards into defenders, does anything that's not remotely a basketball move nor trying to score and the refs keep falling for it. He shot 12 FTs last night and Thibs whined he wasn't getting calls! LMAO.

Embiid is the best player on the planet.
